Wheat is an important component in a number of food recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It’s required quite often and you should make sure you have an unlimited source of the item.
That’s where I come in! I’ll be showing you efficient tips and tricks on how to unlock and farm wheat in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so that you always have this item at your disposal when you need it.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Unlock and Farm Wheat?
To farm wheat in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need Wheat seeds. You can grow these wheat seeds and later on, obtain wheat whenever you need to.
So, are you wondering where you’ll get wheat seeds from?
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Wheat Seeds
There are a few ways in which you can acquire wheat seeds. The most effective of them all is from your best friend in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Goofy.
During the initial quests in the game, you’ll be asked to help Goofy out set up his own stall, which will cost you around 500 Star Coins.
Once Goofy has his own shop, you can purchase various items from him for a certain number of star coins. These items are usually cheap as well.
Initially, you’ll notice that Wheat seeds aren’t available in Goofy’s shop. As you progress in the game, further quests will task you to improve Goofy’s shop with the help of Scrooge McDuck, just like upgrading your house.
Once the stall has levelled up, which will cost you around 1000 coins, you can find Wheat Seeds in Goofy’s stock. While the investment of 1500 Star Coins may seem a lot right now, it’ll turn out to be one of the most profitable ones in no time.
You can purchase an unlimited amount of wheat seeds from Goofy, and each seed will cost only 1 Star Coin. Furthermore, you may also be able to earn a Dreamlight if you buy large chunks of wheat seeds at a time.
The other processes of obtaining wheat seeds include destroying night thorns and dismantling rocks.
The wheat seeds rewarded through these activities have a slow rate and it can take you a long time to get to your required amount.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Farm Wheat
Once you have enough wheat seeds in stock, it’s time to farm these seeds and set up your unlimited and free source of wheat.
Firstly, along with the wheat seeds, you’ll also need a Watering Can, a Shovel, and a large plot of land, preferably near your house, to plant the seeds.
Using the shovel, you’ll first need to create a hole in your farming plot. The buttons you need to use to do tasks in the game can be found on the bottom-left side of your screen.
When you stand on top of the hole, you can see a small prompt appearing on the screen that says “Plant Seed”. Press the required key to plant your seed.
One thing you can do to speed up the process of planting wheat seeds is to dig multiple holes consecutively in a line.
When you do that, you’ll be able to plant seeds in all of these holes in one go, just by holding the “Plant Seed” key on your console. You can dig as many holes as you like, as per your requirement of wheat.
After finishing up the planting, you need to ensure that the seeds are properly watered. That’s where the Watering Can comes in handy.
The Watering Can is usually located behind your house.
Approach your plot of wheat and use the Watering Can to start watering your seeds. Make sure you water the seeds on a regular basis for proper output.
Wheat has a rapid growing time and you’ll be able to pick up wheat from your wheat plot just a minute after watering.
To put the wheat in your inventory, just click on the key that will Harvest for you in the game. The wheat will be automatically added to your inventory.
Farming wheat in Disney Dreamlight Valley is, thankfully, quite easy. If it was difficult or even time-consuming, completing the food quests or cooking 3-star meals would’ve been an ordeal, rather than fun.
I’d also like to add that, if you’re farming wheat, make sure you’re only doing it for any of these three reasons – for the fun of it, to cook delicious meals, or to keep wheat at your disposal for future quests.
Never farm wheat to sell it later on, as wheat is one of the least profitable crops in the game.
Wrapping Up
I’d go as far as saying farming wheat is as easy as pie! Most of it is laid out to you by the game itself through the quests, such as setting up Goofy’s stall for the wheat seeds.
It’s less time-consuming and complex than other tasks like getting tomato seeds, or unlocking peanuts.
The beauty of Disney Dreamlight Valley is that it has made interaction and gameplay so smooth and simple, it’s just very relaxing to sit back, explore various biomes and enjoy a game with the iconic characters of your childhood.
