Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Sandwich Ingredients: Where to Get Them, Costs & Unlock Requirements

There are a ton of Sandwich ingredients in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and keeping track of the exact location where to find them can become a real source of headaches.

But worry not! I am here to share with you the location of the most wanted sandwich ingredients, with quick guides on how to get each and fast navigation to the ingredient of choice, if you are only interested in one.

Sandwiches are one of the most useful features in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can use them to increase your chances of finding certain Pokémon, improve your odds of catching them, gain extra experience, increase Tera Raid rewards, and even boost your chances of finding Shiny Pokémon.

How to get Baguettes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Thankfully, the game already provides unlimited baguettes and you don’t have to get them separately. Baguettes are unlocked from the very start of the game too, and don’t have any form of requirements to be fulfilled.

When you’re about to make a sandwich during a picnic, the baguette will be automatically added to your ingredients.

The only items you need to have are the main ingredient, such as avocado or ham, and condiments for the sandwich – and you will find the most wanted below.

How to Get Avocado in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To get Avocado, you must visit the Aquiesta Supermarket in Levincia. Travel to the Levincia North Poke Center, and you’ll find it nearby.

However, Avocado isn’t available from the get-go. Instead, players will need to obtain two Gym badges first. Then, avocados will be available for purchase at the price of ₽180.

Avocado appears in a large number of sandwich recipes, including Avocado Sandwiches, Tofu Sandwiches, Refreshing Sandwiches, Tropical Sandwiches, Cheese Sandwiches, Potato Salad Sandwiches, and Spicy-Sweet Sandwiches.

It is also useful for some Shiny sandwich combinations. For example, avocado can be used with Salty Herba Mystica to create a Dragon-type Shiny sandwich.

How to Get Chili Sauce in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To purchase chili sauce, players must have at least three gym badges. After that, players can buy chili sauce at any Deli Cioso shop, as well as at the Aquiesta Supermarket in Levincia.

Specifically, here are all the Deli Cioso locations in Paldea:

• Mesagoza
• Cortondo
• Artazon
• Levincia
• Cascarrafa
• Porto Marinada
• Medali
• Montenevera

Chili sauce is one of the more expensive ingredients; each one will cost ₽320.

How to Get Jalapeno in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Jalapeno requires players to obtain at least four gym badges before being able to purchase them.

In addition, contrary to other ingredients like the chili sauce above, jalapenos are only available at Sure Cans shops. Here are all the locations of Sure Cans shops in Paldea.

• Artazon
• Levincia
• Mesagoza
• Cascarrafa
• Medali

Lastly, buying jalapenos will cost you ₽220 per item.

How to Get Smoked Fillet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To get smoked fillet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players will need to buy it from any Deli Cioso shop around Paldea.

However, you will only be able to purchase smoked fillet if you’ve obtained at least two Gym Badges.

Then, the ingredient will be available for purchase at the price of ₽330.

Simply open your map and search through the various icons in the city you’re in until you find the exact shop location. In most cities, Deli Cioso is located very close to the teleport point.

How to Get Tofu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Players can obtain tofu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet from the Aquiesta Supermarket in Levincia. It costs ₽260 per piece and there’s no purchase limit.

However, players won’t be able to buy tofu right away. It needs to be unlocked first by obtaining five Gym badges.

How to Get Tomato in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Tomato is one of the core cooking ingredients. Thus, it’s easy to obtain and fairly cheap. You can get them from the Aquiesta Supermarket in Levincia.

Contrary to other, more elusive ingredients like tofu, tomato doesn’t have any purchase requirements. It costs ₽100 per piece and players are free to buy as many as they want.

How to Get Herbed Sausage in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To get herbed sausage in the game, players will need to first acquire at least six gym badges.

After that, head over to any Deli Cioso store in Paldea to purchase them for ₽400 per piece.

As for its benefits, herbed sausage provides 4 encounter power, 7 experience point power, and -1 item drop power.

How to Get Hamburger in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Contrary to what its name suggests, the hamburger is an ingredient, not a finished dish. Therefore, similar to other ingredients, players can buy it at specific locations.

Before being able to buy hamburgers, players will need to defeat two Gym Leaders and collect the respective badges.

Thankfully, hamburger is a common ingredient that can be found all around Paldea, specifically in Deli Cioso shops.

However, it’s one of the most expensive ingredients. Each hamburger will cost you ₽380.

How to Get Sour Herba Mystica in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Just like all Herba Mystica in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Sour Herba Mystica has a chance of dropping after completing a 5 or 6-star raid.

As for how to unlock these raids, things are fairly straightforward: you must complete the main story first.

Then, simply grind on these raids and eventually, Sour Herba Mystica will start dropping.

How to Get Salty Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

The only two ways to get the Salty Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are by battling it out in the 5-star and 6-star Tera Raids consistently.

The same method also applies for the other Herba Mystica items available in the game, like the Sweet Herba Mystica and the Spicy Herba Mystica.

If you’ve done raids before, you probably already know that the rewards aren’t fixed. It is, sadly, a game of chance. The Herba Mystica items are the rarest of the lot as well and have the lowest possibilities of coming up.

If luck’s not on your side, it might take you a while to earn a good amount of Salty Herba Mystica. The number of Salty Herba Mystica you can earn from one 5-star or 6-star raid ranges from 1 to 3.

Where to Get Peanut Butter in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Artisan Bakery

Peanut Butter can be found in the Artisan Bakery shops, which are available in several places around Paldea. One peanut butter will cost you 300 Pokédollars in the Artisan Bakery.

Aquiesta Supermarket

Another location where Peanut Butter can be easily bought from is the Aquiesta Supermarket. It will cost you 300 Pokédollars for one peanut butter here as well.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, it can be found above Levincia, or towards the north of Levincia. Levincia is the Electric gym in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.  

How to Get Cream Cheese in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Cream cheese can be purchased from the Artisan Bakery and Aquiesta Supermarket in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The Cream Cheese will cost 280 Pokédollars or LP in both of these shops. You don’t need to win any gym battles or finish any required quests to be able to purchase Cream Cheese.

The Artisan Bakery is available in various locations around Paldea. These locations involve Levincia, Mesagoza, Port Marinada, Medali, and Cascarrafa. You’re probably familiar with Cascarrafa if you’ve shopped for clothes and accessories.

You can find the Artisan Bakery in the large market of Port Marinada; when you go through the numerous small shops in the marketplace, you should run into the Artisan Bakery.

The shop can also be found on the northern side of Levincia, close to the string of various other shops located around the same area.

How to Get Pickles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Thankfully, pickles are easy to find since they are available in many locations. First, similarly to avocados, pickles can be bought from the Aquiesta Supermarket in Levincia. In addition, pickles can be bought from the Sure Cans shops.

Regardless of which location you choose, each pickle is going to cost ₽90. This makes it one of the cheapest sandwich ingredients in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Also, contrary to most other sandwich ingredients, pickles are available from the get-go. Players do not need to have any gym badges or reach the late-game to buy pickles.

How to get Ham in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

In order to get Ham in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you’ll have to purchase it from the Artisan Bakery shops in Paldea.

One of these branches can be found in the huge market in Port Marinada. You can find the Artisan Bakery as you navigate through the small shops.

The second place where you can purchase Ham from is Aquiesta Supermarket. Its only branch is in Levincia.

The Aquiesta Supermarket is located to the north of the clothing and accessories shops in Levincia.

The price of Ham in Aquiesta Supermarket and all the branches of Artisan Bakery is 170 Pokédollars.

How to get Jam in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Jam can be purchased from certain shops in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet using Pokédollars: the Artisan Bakery which is located in various parts of Paldea. You can also buy jam in Aquiesta Supermarket as well

One Jam item will cost you 120 Pokédollars in both Artisan Bakery and Aquiesta Supermarket. There are no other requirements or tasks that need to be completed for Jam.

How Sandwich Ingredients Work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

You can make sandwiches whenever you set up a Picnic in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The game gives you the bread (aka the baguette that I mentioned first) automatically. You then add the fillings and seasonings required for your recipe.

You can either follow one of the recipes you’ve unlocked or create a sandwich yourself using Custom Mode. The ingredients you choose determine the Meal Powers your sandwich provides.

Meal Powers can improve things such as:

• Encounter Power
• Catching Power
• Egg Power
• Raid Power
• Exp. Point Power
• Item Drop Power
• Title Power
• Sparkling Power
• Humungo Power
• Teensy Power

A sandwich can provide up to three Meal Powers at the same time, and the effects last for 30 minutes.
