Disney Dreamlight Valley – All Fish and How to Catch Them

Fishing is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable activities in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Whether you’re looking to cook a meal or trying to gain some quick cash, fishing is the perfect method to pursue.

But, do you know where to find all the fishes and how you can catch them in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Whether you want to know the location of particular fishes or how many fishes there are in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you happen to be in the right place as I’ll be helping you out with a well-detailed guide today on all the fishes in the game and how to catch them.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Fish

Fishing

First and foremost, you must know how to fish to catch those fishes, right?! Gameloft didn’t make fishing too difficult in Disney Dreamlight Valley, though.

You’ll obtain the Fishing Rod through the Fishing Expedition quest, aided by Goofy.

Once you own the Fishing Rod, you can fish in all the ponds and lakes available in the various biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

When you notice bubbles flowing up on one part of the pond, approach that specific part using your Fishing Rod and interact with the button denoted on the bottom-left corner of your screen.

A few tries should land you a fish successfully!

Moreover, if you notice the bubbles sparkle in blue or a golden color, then you should put in extra effort to catch those fishes. The sparkles denote the availability of a rare fish.

Now that you know how to catch a fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley, let’s take a look at how you can find all the fishes in the game.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: All Fishes and How to Catch Them

There are a huge variety of fishes and they are found in specific places of the map. You may find a fish in more than one zone in the map, but it won’t be available everywhere.

I’ve arranged the fishes in an ascending order of how many Star Coins you might earn if you decide to sell them.

Seaweed

Seaweed

Seaweed is a quite an easy to find as it’s available in most of the biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

You can easily catch Seaweed when you’re fishing in the Glade of Trust, Dazzle Beach, Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor or Frosted Heights. That’s a lot of places!

Since it can be found almost everywhere, you can only earn 20 Star Coins when you sell Seaweed and it isn’t impressive when it comes to replenishing energy either.

Bass

Bass

Earning you a tad bit more than Seaweed, you may catch Bass when you’re fishing in the Peaceful Meadow, Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, or Forgotten Lands. You’ll receive a price of 25 Star Coins when you sell Bass.

Cod

Cod can be caught in three different areas of the map, which include the Glade of Trust, Dazzle Beach, and the Forgotten Lands. Selling Cod will make you a small profit of 35 Star Coins, but can gain your energy by 150.

Rainbow Trout

Rainbow Trout

The Rainbow Trout is probably the first and most common fish that you’ll be catching in your fishing adventure, since it’s mainly found in the Peaceful Meadow. You may also catch the fish in Forest of Valor, after you’ve unlocked the zone.

The Rainbow Trout isn’t a rare fish, however, and will only bring you 50 Star Coins upon selling it.

Herring

The Herring fish is easily available in the Gale of Trust and Dazzle Beach. Selling it will increase your Star Coins by 65. On the other hand, it can be great for quick energy recovery, as it offers a 250 Energy gain.

Perch

Perch can be found in the lakes of the Sunlit Plateau and the Forest of Valor and comes with a selling price of 80 Star Coins. It gives an amazing Energy value of 400, which is excellent for its price point.

Tuna

Tuna

Gaining you a profit of 95 Star Coins, the Tuna fish acts as a better source of energy compared to the previous fishes, providing an increase in Energy by 350.

Tuna can be caught in the Forgotten Lands and Glade of Trust. You may also find it by name “Albino Tuna”.

Salmon

Salmon will help you with a profit of 150 Star Coins if you can catch it from the ponds found in the Frosted Heights and Sunlit Plateau.

Sole

The next fish on the list is the Sole. Sole can only be caught in the Forgotten Lands and an energy replenishment of 500 levels can do quite the wonders when you’re in need. Selling Sole, however, will only earn you 200 Star Coins.

Shrimp

Gaining you a profit of 300 Star Coins when sold, the Shrimp is available only in the Dazzle Beach. It’s also great for increasing your energy, like Sole, but the increase is around 750.

Carp

Having a habitat in the aquatic lands of Forest of Valor and Sunlit Plateau, the Carp has an impressive selling price of 400 Star Coins. It’s amazing for energy replenishment, however, as it leads to a gain by 800 levels.

Kingfish

The Dazzle Beach is the only home of the Kingfish in the game. A price of 450 Star Coins can help you make easy profit by selling this unique fish.

Squid

Moving on to the fishes with medium rarity, the Squid can be relatively more difficult to catch. You can shoot your shot in the Forgotten Lands and Glade of Trust, and if you’re lucky, you can earn a profit of 500 Star Coins.

Catfish

Catfish

You can catch the Catfish in the Peaceful Meadow, just like the Rainbow Trout. It shares the same rarity as the Bream and will earn you as much as 550 coins! Consuming the fish will also increase your energy levels by 1200!

Bream

Bream

Yet another fish that can only be found in the Peaceful Meadow is the Bream. But, this fish will bring you a whopping 600 coins when you sell it, because of its medium level of rarity. It might be a tad difficult to catch the fish, though.

Crab

The second fish on the list that you can sell for 600 coins is the Crab. The Crab can also be found in only one zone in the map – the Frosted Heights.

Tilapia

The Tilapia adds to the 600-coins club and also share habitat with the Crab in Frosted Heights. Unlike the other fishes in 600-coins club, you may run into the Tilapia in the Sunlit Plateau as well.

Lancetfish

I’d definitely want to catch the Lancetfish not for the 650 Star Coins that it will get me, but for the 1300 Energy recovery it offers. Similar to most fishes in the game, the Forgotten Lands is the home of the Lancetfish.

Swordfish

The Swordfish’s habitat lies in the water bodies of the Dazzle Beach, where they can be caught and sold for 700 coins. It’s not shaped like a sword at all, though!

Pike

A popular fish in the Forest of Valor is the Pike, which will earn you a profit of 800 Star Coins. Pike also does a great job when consumed as it increases the energy value by 1500.

Fugu

Fugu can be found in the Dazzle Beach, similar to the Kingfish. However, it has greater value than the Kingfish and thus has a profit margin of 900 Star Coins!

Lobster

Lobster can be a challenging fish to catch in the Glade of Trust; but, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts and overcoming the challenge through its selling price of 950 Star Coins!

Walleye

Moving on to fishes that will gain you a profit over 1000 Star Coins, the Walleye is a special fish in that category. It’s only found in the Sunlit Plateau and a profit of 1100 Star Coins is just amazing!

White Sturgeon

The rarest and most valuable fish of the Frosted Heights is the White Sturgeon. You’ll notice those golden bubble sparkles on the lakes of Frosted Heights when there’s a White Sturgeon nearby.

This fish comes with a variety of uses, starting from taming animals to bringing you an outstanding income of 1200 Star Coins.

Anglerfish

Anglerfish is by far the most profitable and rarest fish in the game. Understandably, it’s also the toughest of all when it comes to catching the fish.

The king of fishes can be found in the Forgotten Lands and is mainly used to cook a 5-star meal. Its selling price point of 1500 coins and an energy replenishment value of 2000 is off the roof!

Wrapping Up

These are all the fishes that are available in the Disney Dreamlight Valley. The price and energy delivered by these fishes depend upon how rare the fish is in the game.

Some of these fishes are required to make meals during quests, while others can be an easy way for you to make some quick money.

Either way, fishing is one of the most exciting features of Disney Dreamlight Valley, and I hope, with the help of this guide, you can enrich the experience of fishing in the game.
