Unturned has been a fan-favorite free-to-play zombie survival multiplayer RPG since its release back in 2017. However, just like any other game, after enough hours it can feel stale and players will need to find other similar alternatives.

DayZ

DayZ takes and expands on the gameplay of Unturned as it is an open-world, survival, zombie-apocalypse game. Start from scratch, explore the world for supplies, and arm yourself against other players who try to do the same.

Overall, DayZ features a slower and more realistic gameplay but with similar mechanics as Unturned.

No More Room in Hell

No More Room in Hell is a free-to-play, multiplayer, zombie survival game. With dynamic objective maps, more realistic elements regarding scarcity of materials, and a large variety of available enemies and weapons, there’s enough content to keep you occupied.

Overall, it features similar elements to Unturned but with a more realistic approach. Also, No More Room in Hell 2 is currently in development!

7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die is a survival, zombie game with building mechanics that’s been around since 2013 and is still receiving updates to date.

Explore the large open world, loot supplies, work together or fight against other players, and create your large base to defend against the continuous zombie hordes ravaging the land.

Mist Survival

Mist Survival is an single-player apocalypse survival game that stands out due to its dynamic weather and advanced electrical appliance mechanics.

Build and control your camp, defend against zombies, and explore the vast world to unlock and craft new items.

Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid is a multiplayer 2D zombie survival game. With a 4-player co-op and mechanics based on realistic survival, Project Zomboid is a great game to play with friends.

While the game was released in 2013, it’s still receiving updates almost monthly with lots of new content to keep new and returning players occupied.

SCUM

SCUM is an open-world survival game where players fight against other players and zombies at the same time. Explore the world, loot materials, upgrade your equipment, and compete against others to reach the top of the food chain.

Sons Of The Forest

Last but not least, HumanitZ is a co-op zombie survival game in early access with a lot of potential.
