Several major updates and talent introductions have completely reshuffled the hierarchy of the best cards in Rush Royale.
Cards that were once absolute trash are now dominating the leaderboard, while former champions have fallen off. If you want to keep up with the current state of the game, especially if you’re a returning visitor, checking out my updated Rush Royale cards tier list is a must. So let’s jump right in!
Rush Royale S-Tier Cards

S-tier cards are the meta-definers. These units possess exceptional win rates and, once you unlock their talents, they completely overshadow everything else.
If you have access to these units, prioritizing them in your deck is the fastest way to climb the ladder.
- Treant
- Bard
- Monk
- Genie
- Dryad
- Knight Statue
- Witch
- Enchanted Sword
The above S-tier cards define the current meta, and top-ranking decks will include at least some of them. If you have access to these units, prioritizing them in your deck will guarantee wins.
Now let’s get a bit in-depth and see why the cards above are in the S-tier!
Treant: Previously overlooked by many, the Treant has exploded into the S-Tier as arguably the strongest unit in the game right now. It is a tanky, high-damage unit that scales indefinitely by consuming other units to build “Leaf” stacks.
Monk: The Monk remains a powerhouse for setup-heavy decks. By creating “intersections” (a vertical and horizontal line of Monks), you trigger massive attack speed and damage bonuses.
With his talents, he can cleanse negative effects from the board, making him one of the few DPS units that doesn’t instantly fold when hit by a Witch or Shaman.

Genie: Genie is all about constant motion and stacking buffs. By merging units to spin the “Vortex,” the Genie buffs his attack speed and damage significantly.
He is incredibly safe to play because his mechanics naturally clear the board of “junk” ranks, keeping your damage output high and consistent.
Bard: A versatile legendary hybrid that switches between direct damage and support buffs. Bard’s attacks bounce between multiple targets in Attack Mode, while in Music Mode he charges Inspiration to greatly boost his damage and weaken enemies.
Dryad: An ideal support unit that instantly upgrades the merge rank of allies. Although Dryad deals no damage herself, her ability to create quick power spikes by boosting damage dealers makes her top-tier and a must-have in your deck. You literally cannot play a high-level deck without her.
Knight Statue: A powerful legendary support providing significant buffs to adjacent units, enhancing their attack speed and critical chance. Its Talents further amplify its effects, making it indispensable for boosting units like Inquisitor or Bruiser.
Witch: A disruptive legendary card primarily used in PvP to weaken opponents. Merging Witches sends curses to enemy units, forcing opponents into disadvantageous merges (or healing the monsters they are trying to kill).
Enchanted Sword: A supportive legendary card marking enemies to amplify incoming damage and buffing allies upon merging. Its Talents boost critical damage and slow enemies, dramatically enhancing overall DPS when paired with strong damage dealers.

Rush Royale A-Tier Cards

A-tier cards can be strong, and have amazing talents to complement that strength, but still fall behind the S-tier cards.
However, they should not be underestimated. You can use them to support the S-tier cards in many decks or even build decks around them, if you don’t have other options.
- Robot
- Spirit Master
- Demon Hunter
- Summoner
- Harlequin
- Scrapper
- Sea Dog
- Gunslinger
- Cultist
- Blade Dancer

A closer look at the A-Tier heavy hitters:
Robot: Robot has moved up significantly thanks to its reliability. It provides a mix of stun/crowd control and consistent damage. By merging Robots, you increase its stats and stun duration (and making Robot one of the most annyoing to play against).
Spirit Master: A top-tier DPS legendary whose damage scales with mana spent. He dominates in shortened games or with infinite mana decks, but requires constant attention and clicking, which can be difficult to sustain in very long matches.
Demon Hunter: The queen of ease-of-use. Demon Hunter gets stronger the more total merge ranks you have on the board.
Once you hit 40 stacks, she hits everyone at once. She is A-Tier because while strong, she struggles against bosses that mess up your board layout.
Summoner: The ultimate economy unit. Summoner allows you to get “free” units on the board, saving you mana. With talents, he can switch unit types or increase the rank of existing units, acting as a secondary Dryad.
Harlequin: The joker of Rush Royale. She copies any unit on the board (at the cost of reduced damage). She is the glue that makes almost every combo deck work, allowing you to fix bad RNG instantly.
Scrapper: A vital support for decks that don’t use Dryad. Scrapper eats unwanted units to level up your main carry. He is essential for keeping your board clean and your main units high-ranked.
Sea Dog: A legendary unit blending damage with utility. Sea Dog spawns explosive chests and cannonballs. While potent, he requires a very specific deck build to function well, making him less flexible than the S-Tier options.
Gunslinger: A versatile unit offering both support and damage. With Talents, it transitions into a primary DPS in rapid-fire Shootout mode. He is strong, but often outperformed by the raw burst damage of Bard or Monk.
Cultist: Cultist demands you build a “cross” shape on the board. When positioned correctly, he deals massive Area of Effect (AoE) damage. He is fantastic for clearing waves but can struggle against single-target bosses deep into the game.
Blade Dancer: Similar to Cultist, she requires strict positioning (units not touching). She attacks incredibly fast and dances around the board. A classic favorite that is still viable, but easily disrupted by control decks.
Rush Royale B-Tier Cards

B-tier cards are situational and work best as part of a deck with a plan behind it. They are not units you can splash in thinking that they can hold their own with just what they can do.
- Meteor: Great burst, but requires high skill cap.
- Minotaur: Strong support for slow/damage, but niche.
- Bruiser: Good damage, but relies on a “rage” mechanic that can be inconsistent.
- Banshee: Excellent area damage, but lacks single target pressure.
- Trapper: Great armor destruction and slow, but often replaced by Chemist or Sword.
- Inquisitor: Formerly S-Tier, but recent nerfs made him harder to play.
- Tesla: Requires spending money or event tokens to level up.
- Engineer: The best non-legendary damage dealer, solid for mid-game.
- Crystalmancer: With High Arcanist talents, it’s probably the strongest non-legendary DPS in the game, rivaling A-tier legendaries.
- Chemist: His armor destruction is vital for many decks.

Rush Royale C-Tier Cards

C-tier cards have really niche uses and are generally not used. They can work in specific decks with a specific goal in mind or a specific purpose. Use them cautiously if you like them as units.

- Plague Doctor
- Boreas
- Hex
- Portal Mage
- Gargoyle
- Reaper

Rush Royale D-Tier Cards

Please don’t use them. D-tier units are the most basic cards that don’t offer anything good enough to be part of any deck or consideration. Most of them will help in the early game, but the moment you get something stronger, you will replace them.
- Archer
- Fire Mage
- Cold Mage
- Lightning Mage
- Thrower
- Poisoner
- Priestess
- Magic Cauldron
- Clock of Power (Niche use in PvP, but weak).
- Stasis

- Ice Mage
- Alchemist
- Thunderer
- Pyrotechnic
- Wind Archer
- Rogue
- Grindstone

Final Thoughts
Rush Royale has a massive roster, and the developers are constantly tweaking the numbers. What is useless today might be overpowered tomorrow if a new Talent is released. In other words, the meta is constantly changing.
