Best Games Like Genshin Impact (for PC & Consoles)

Genshin Impact is a piece of art; there is no doubt about that. But whatever you do for a big amount of time tends to get boring, and you’ll need a break from it. This is why today’s article brings some alternatives to Genshin Impact – similar enough to be like the original, but also original enough to remove boredom and get you hooked.

These games are available on various platforms, from mobile only to PCs and Consoles, so you have plenty of options. Let’s check them all out below!

Tower of Fantasy

I was in doubt whether I should include ToF or not, because it is basically Genshin Impact just slightly different and modified.

But still, you might have explored everything that Genshin Impact has to offer, and going over into a different world with brand new areas and enemies will be a real joy.

Here you will go into an apocalyptic world where you will have your fair share of amazing, interesting characters and stories. The characters that you will play as are different as well.

The art of this game is very much like Genshin Impact, and at times the developers have gone way beyond to implement even better scenery. You will have mounts to use in Tower of Fantasy. That is the big thing when it comes to exploration.

We have a bunch of guides to help you get started on the right foot. I recommend starting with the Best Character Presets in ToF, then learn how to change weapons in the game, as well as your avatar.

Honkai Impact

Both of them have the Impact as the second word in their name. Need I say more?!

All jokes aside, Honkai Impact is a very well-rounded game that can be a substitute for Genshin. It is a free-to-play action roleplaying game developed by the same company as the original in the title.

You will be commanding a team of Valkyries, similar to the team structure in Genshin Impact, to defeat the Honkai, an energy that is corrupting and destroying the earth.

The sceneries that you’ll be seeing are very similar to the ones in Genshin Impact, but it doesn’t mean that it is the same. It feels like a brand new map added to Genshin’s world, so it’s good.

The combat is very much alike and the characters have an in-game progression system that you will experience as you go throughout the story.

Note: You can also try the more recent Honkai: Star Rail or Honkai Impact 3rd for newer versions of the same game.

Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves is probably the closest thing you’ll find to Genshin Impact right now, and it’s no accident – it was created to capture the same magic, and it does it so well. Add to that pure eye candy (the game was released in 2025, after all!) and you have everything you need for an amazing alternative.

You’ll explore a massive open world filled with flashy elemental combat, combo-driven action, and a cast of heroes that feel just as unique as Genshin’s characters. The difference? Its combat is much faster and more technical, making every battle feel like an anime fight come to life.

Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero

If you love Genshin Impact’s style, but wish it had more urban flair, Zenless Zone Zero is worth a try.

Set in a futuristic city rather than a fantasy world, this game keeps the flashy combat and stylish characters but drops you into a world of neon lights and dangerous portals.

It’s different enough to feel fresh but familiar enough to instantly click with fans. After all, it’s made by the same company!

Infinity Nikki

Infinity Nikki

Infinity Nikki is basically Genshin blended with fashion, exploration, and lighthearted adventure.

Instead of focusing entirely on combat, it lets you roam colorful open worlds, solve puzzles, and collect gorgeous outfits with special abilities.

Think of it as Genshin’s more relaxed side, where style and creativity are just as important as adventure – it’s cozier, slower paced, and more open.

Palworld

Palworld

Palworld may look more like a Pokémon clone at first, but Genshin fans will see plenty of similarities, and I am sure they will love playing it.

The open-world exploration, crafting systems, and team-based combat with your captured “Pals” feel very familiar if you’ve ever spent time in Teyvat.

The big twist is its mix of survival mechanics and wild combat options – you can even give your cute creatures guns, which adds a bizarre and funny spin to the Genshin-like formula.

To get started on the right foot, I recommend reading our Palworld Tips & Tricks, checking out the Best Medicine Pals in Palworld, or a Passive Skills List.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink

Granblue Fantasy Relink

Granblue Relink is the co-op experience many Genshin players have been asking for. You can team up with friends in four-player co-op battles, which feels like the multiplayer mode Genshin players have always wanted.

The art style is almost the same, and you’ll find plenty of colorful characters and things to do.

And to get started on the right foot, I recommend reading about the Best Time to Unlock Characters in Granblue Relink, checking out our character tier list, or the best weapons in the game.

Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade doesn’t have the same open-world structure as Genshin Impact, but its combat will feel instantly familiar, and I am sure that fans of the original will love it just as much.

Especially if you love the flashy skills and combos in Genshin’s battles, because this game takes it to a whole new level with precise, high-speed action.

The story leans darker and more sci-fi than fantasy, but it offers that same sense of being pulled into a cinematic adventure full of stylish heroes – and it’s not too dark, in my opinion.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Expedition 33

While this might be a bit of a stretch (and a game that others should be compared to), I am sure that Genshin fans will love it for everything it offers.

Its painterly visuals and turn-based action set it apart, yet the characters and world feel like they were pulled straight from an anime-inspired epic. If you’ve ever wished Genshin Impact had a more narrative-driven, artistic style, as well as much more in terms of complexity, this one should be on top of your list.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Xenoblade Chronicles will surprise you when it comes to the resemblance that it has with Genshin Impact, although it does have its fair share of differences too.

A lot of players have been trying out Xenoblade Chronicles if they get bored from Genshin Impact just because of these differences too. It is very similar but very different at the same time.

You will be controlling way more characters than the 4 ones in Gensihn, and more than that is the teamwork system that you’ll be executing various types of attacks.

I would have to say that in my experience the world of Xenoblade is awful when compares to the ones of Genshin. It is boring and the texture of it will make you sleepy.

But the story, the characters, and the combat will make your eyes shine as the first time you played Genshin Impact for sure!

If you’re on the fence and thinking about giving this game a try, think no further. Just try it out.

Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV has over 20 million active players because of the simulation of the world that it offers. You will literally be able to lose yourself inside this game!

You can do this in Genshin Impact too by all means, but in FFXIV you will get a very deeper and alive system that will make you immersed and fall in love with your characters.

The world that it has is simply breathtaking, something of the kind the Genshin Impact offers.

The characters that you can play as are amazing and you’ll be able to do a lot of things more than Genshin Impact when you’re controlling them.

That is where these games come different too. FFXIV is something that you’ll be investing in yourself way more and the smallest thing in there might take a lot of time to do.

But if you’re looking for something different and similar at the same time, with much more depth than Genshin Impact. Final Fantasy XIV will be your go-to.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

Fans of Genshin Impact will like Ni No Kuni II’s buoyancy and lightness thanks to its soft curves, crisp lines, and vivid colors, which are influenced by the Zelda world.

This is not a mindless button masher, even if it is undoubtedly geared for a younger audience.

You would not expect a game for youngsters to have as much complexity as it does, and the Pokémon-style monster capturing and kingdom administration will make you wonder where the day has gone.

It is something that might come very interesting to you at first but will gradually decrease the fun because of the simplicity of the story.

That still doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give it a try. It is something that can be played like Genshin Impact and it offers the same interesting and beautiful art style.

Conclusion

Those are my 12 games that I am sure hardcore Genshin Impact players out there will love playing. Some are very similar to the original, some are a bit different, but they all capture the core delivered by Genshin, and that’s what makes them worthy to be on the list.

So get out of your safety bubble, and if bored and waiting for a new patch in Genshin Impact, give these games a try. And if you have one or more alternatives to recommend, please do so by commenting below.
