Things have changed a lot since the game’s launch (they changed a lot since last year, actually!), but worry not – today, I am here to share the updated tier list of BDO classes, so that you can pick the best for your play style.
Whether you prefer wearing plate armor, swinging mighty axes, casting dark magics, striking enemies from the shadows, or unleashing a barrage of ranged attacks with bows, each class offers a distinct playstyle, and some are better than others.
Below is a quick look at where every class stands in 2026. For the top picks, I also mention if you should choose Awakening or Succession at level 56, as this choice changes how the class plays.

S-Tier Classes in BDO: Best of the Best
These classes are the best in the game in 2026. They move fast, kill groups in seconds, and stay healthy without using too many potions, being perfect especially for PvE.
Seraph (Succession)
Seraph is the newest addition and currently holds the crown. She uses a mix of light and dark energy to delete entire packs of monsters.
Her Succession path is the favorite because it has massive area attacks. You barely have to aim; her skills hit everything on the screen. She is perfect if you want to see big numbers and flashy effects with very little effort.
Wukong (Awakening)
Wukong is a top pick if you want high speed. His Awakening uses a legendary staff and features what players call the “Unlimited Combo.”
This means you can keep attacking without waiting for cooldowns. He moves between groups of enemies faster than almost anyone else. If you enjoy a class that feels like an action movie, Wukong is for you.
Dosa (Awakening)
Dosa uses the five elements – fire, water, wood, metal, and earth. His Awakening is a beast this year because of his range.
You don’t need to spend time pulling monsters together because his elemental storms reach them wherever they are. He also gives great buffs to your friends, making him the best choice for group spots.

Lahn (Succession)
Lahn has moved back to the S-tier this year. She has always been able to “fly” or glide over terrain, but recent balance changes made her damage output jump.
She is arguably the most relaxed class to play in the top tier. You can grind for hours without feeling tired because her combos are very simple and fluid.
Maegu (Succession)
Maegu stays at the top because she is still the queen of movement. She uses fox spirits and charms to attack from a distance while staying safe.
Even at the newest high-end spots in the Land of the Morning Light, Maegu delivers high silver per hour. She is great if you want a mix of beauty and power.
Woosa (Succession)
Woosa is still a top rival for her sister, Maegu. Her Succession path is all about control and wide-reaching fan attacks.
Her speed remains her greatest asset. She can weave through mobs and set up “ink” clouds that explode for huge damage. Players love her because her movement feels very smooth, and she has some of the best protection in the game.
You rarely have to worry about getting knocked down while you are in the middle of your rotation.
Guardian (Succession)
If you like playing a tank that doesn’t die, Guardian is your best bet. Even in the hardest grind spots, she is hard to kill and hits like a truck with every swing.
She is often called “the queen of low APM” because you don’t need to press many buttons to get results.
Her attacks are slow but heavy, and her built-in healing means you almost never need to carry health potions. For a relaxed, powerful experience, she is still a perfect pick.
Berserker (Awakening)
Berserker is the choice for players who want to feel unstoppable. His Awakening uses hand cannons to blast enemies, and his movement has only gotten better with recent updates.
He clears packs very fast and can handle the toughest monsters without slowing down.
Now, he is even more aggressive and active. If you want a class that rewards you for being in the middle of the fight and smashing everything in sight, pick the Berserker.
A-Tier Classes in BDO
The A-tier classes are still excellent, but they lack something to be as special as the S-tier are. I won’t get as much in-depth with them, but the short notes I have will convince you why they are still great in 2026.
- Dosa (Succession): A very solid pick that uses clouds and fog. It’s slightly slower than Awakening but very safe.
- Wukong (Succession): Great for single-target damage. If you like hunting bosses, this is a strong choice.
- Nova (Awakening): Once an S-tier queen, she is still amazing but requires very high actions per minute (APM). If you have fast fingers, she can still perform like an S-tier.
- Sage (Succession): Still king of the “big circle” attacks. He is great for spots where monsters are spread out because his skills cover so much ground.
- Wizard & Witch (Succession): These are the classic casters. They are always welcome in groups for their heals and buffs, and their damage is very consistent this year.
- Sorceress (Awakening): If you like the scythe, this is her best year yet. Recent buffs to her spin attacks make her a monster in the endgame.

There are many classes you can pick in the game, and with the different slots given you can always pick and choose who you save.
You can grind your favorite, and then give a try to the classes that stand on the top of the tier list to see if one of their playstyles could possibly fit you better, as a player. Even if they don’t cover your personal needs, you can erase them and move on.
