Apex Girl: Best Girls in the Game (Tier List)

There are plenty of girls you can unlock in Apex Girl (formerly Top Girl), each with her own set of strengths and weaknesses. Some are obviously better than others, while others are a bit more nuanced. And today I will help you learn which are the best of the best.

I will share with you the complete ranking of the best girls in the game, based on various stats that you have to consider. After reading this guide, you will not only better understand how to rank the girls in the game, but also which are the ones you should focus on the most.

For more generic tips and tricks, I recommend reading my article sharing the complete Apex Girl strategy guide or the Apex Girl Wiki.

Learn how the ranking system works in Apex Girl

There are currently 4 rarity types in the game: Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), Super-Super Rare (SSR) and Ultra Rare (UR).

You can only get girls from the first three rarity sets through regular gameplay and the gacha system, while UR girls are unlocked in collaboration with your fellow alliance members (aka your Group). UR girls are also temporary and can be lost.

With this in mind, we have a golden rule of thumb: the rarer girl is ALWAYS better than the more common one. Even with various other in-game bonuses, a maxed-out R girl will still be worse than a mediocre SSR.

But when deciding which SSR (or SR) to pick, things become tricky. There are two things that you have to consider:

  1. The single’s genre/style and if your girl matches one or two of these.
  2. The girl’s position (center, vocalist or dancer) and the potential bonus she offers.

While it’s not clear how the bonuses work, you should always choose a girl matching the genre and position, but also with the highest % boost.

My 1st test: I recorded a single using only UR & SSR girls, even though I had more common ones of a higher level, matching the single’s genres and giving better bonuses.

Then I recorded the same single using R girls mostly (and one SR), matching the positions, offering better bonuses, and seemingly better. The second set of girls performed MUCH worse, resulting in a lower-rated single and fewer sales.

So the conclusion is that you should ALWAYS use your rarest girls, if levels are close: eg. a SSR of level 40 will be better than a level 60 R.

My 2nd test: I recorded another single using my best girls (level 70+ UR and SSR, plus a level 80 Violet), but I didn’t place them in the correct spots – aka I put the vocalist as dancer, and so on.

The result was horrible, and I only received a score of 16 and laughable sales.

So the conclusion is that you should ALWAYS match a girl’s position with the required role (aka place a Center in the Center position, then a Dancer and so on). If you still have high-level, super rare girls that don’t fit, use them in the Backup slots. This maxes out your single sales and score.

Best girls – the list

I went through that huge intro to tell you that the term of “best girl” in Apex Girl is highly dependable on many factors, with plenty of variables influencing your decision. In other words, there’s not a single “Best” girl: it all depends on the type of single you’re recording and matching the genre/position.

At the same time, some girls are much better than others, because they also have various skills they can use in the game. With these in mind, Here is my ranking and tier list – which I will explain in-depth below:

S Tier Girls – The absolute best

Marguerite UR girl
One of the best girls in the game.
  • Marguerite (UR, Vocalist)
  • Alexandra (UR, Center)
  • Josephine (UR, Vocalist)
  • Genevieve (UR, Vocalist)
  • Isadora (UR, Center)
  • Anastasia (UR, Dancer)
  • Zendaya (SSR, Center)
  • Skylar (SSR, Vocalist)
  • Savannah (SSR, Vocalist)
  • Bella (SSR, Vocalist)
  • Avery (SSR, Dancer)
  • Claire (SSR, Center)
  • Paisley (SSR, Dancer)
  • Alice (SSR, Vocalist)

NOTE: While Zendaya and Skylar are some of the weakest SSRs in the game, I am including them in the S tier list because they are the first two SSRs you will unlock, and therefore level up faster and max out easier (especially useful as a free player)

Violet is a great choice because she’s easy to max out.

  • Caroline (SSR, Dancer)
  • Julia (SSR, Vocalist)
  • Violet (SR, Vocalist)
  • Samantha (SR, Dancer)
  • Evelyn (SR, Center)

  • Victoria (SR, Center)
  • Sarah (SR, Dancer)

B Tier Girls – Good if others are not available

Apex Girl Girls
Plenty of girls to choose from.
  • Natalie (SR, Center)
  • Hazel (SR, Vocalist)
  • Stella (SR, Vocalist)
  • Abigail (SR, Vocalist)

C Tier Girls – You have better options

  • Lily (SR, Center)
  • Olivia (R, Center)
  • Ava (R, Dancer)
  • Annabelle (R, Center)
  • Emma (R, Dancer)
  • Isabella (R, Center)
  • Harper (R, Vocalist)
  • Sophia (R, Vocalist)
  • Charlotte (R, Dancer)

Now you know which girls are the best and which are the worst, so that you can invest in growing the top ones and ignore the rest.

Remember, Apex Girl is always evolving and while nerfs are highly unlikely in the game in my opinion, they are still possible. Plus, we’ll get new girls in the future, and they might change these rankings.

With these in mind, let us all know which are your favorite stars in the game.
