The Froggy Armor is one of the hardest armor sets to obtain in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
To get all three pieces of the Froggy Armor, players will need to complete a series of 12 Side Adventures.
In this guide, I will showcase how to get the Froggy Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and explain what is the Slip Resistance bonus that it offers.

How to Get Froggy Armor in Tears of the Kingdom
To start the Froggy Armor quest in TotK, players will need to travel to Lucky Clover Gazette, which is on the northwest side of Hyrule’s Surface. Speaking to Traysi there will give you the first quest.
For this quest, you’ll need to visit 12 different stables around the map.
Keep in mind that starting the Froggy Armor quest line allows you to unlock Zelda’s Golden Horse. For more details, check out our guide on how to unlock all Special Horses in TotK.
After speaking to Traysi in the Lucky Clover Gazette and starting the Potential Princess Sightings quest, players will also automatically unlock 11 additional Side Adventures around the map. Here are all of them:
- Serenade to a Great Fairy
- The Beast and the Princess
- White Goats Gone Missing
- Zelda’s Golden Horse
- An Eerie Voice
- The Beckoning Woman
- The All-Clucking Cucco
- Gourmets Gone Missing
- The Missing Farm Tools
- Princess Zelda Kidnapped?!
- For Our Princess!
Completing all of them will award you the full set of Froggy Armor. The first piece is unlocked after completing four adventures, the second after nine, and the last after finishing them all.
Froggy Armor Set Bonus in TotK
Wearing one piece of Froggy Armor in Zelda TotK will allow players to gain the Slip Resistance buff, which is also gained via the Sticky Elixir.
This effect will increase your ability to climb wet surfaces. This is ideal for climbing in the rain, as it will allow you to reach higher spots easily.
Wearing more pieces of the Froggy Armor increases the effectiveness of Slip Resistance and allows you to climb even higher.
As for how to upgrade the Froggy Armor, all you need to do is visit a Great Fairy. Then, based on the level of enhancement, you’ll need the following materials:
- Level 1 – 3 Sticky Lizards.
- Level 2 – 5 Sticky Lizards and 5 Horiblin Horns.
- Level 3 – 5 Blue Horriblin Horn and 5 Sticky Frog.
- Level 4 – 5 Black Horriblin Horn, 10 Horriblin Guts, and 10 Opal.
However, the Froggy Armor doesn’t have the best defensive stats, so overall it’s not worth upgrading after Level 2.
To sum up, players can get the Froggy Armor set in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom by completing the Princess Sighting quest and all 11 Side Adventures that are unlocked by it.
Then, they will get the Slip Resistance buff, which makes it easier to climb wet surfaces.
