It’s a big problem in The Sims 4 if your Sims is feeling exhausted by still won’t sleep. There are many instances when our Sims won’t stay in bed or won’t sleep and today I am here to tell you how to fix these problems.
There are various issues that might be causing this problems. Summing them all up, we’d end up with the most likely fixes for the problem:
To fix the issue of Sims not sleeping or staying in bed in The Sims 4, ensure lights and electronics are off, use an appropriate sleeping outfit, manage pets and Sim relationships, and remove any mods you have installed.
Additional fixes include deleting and replacing the bed, turning off all light sources or moving the Sim out and back in.

Let’s get a bit more in-depth with each of these potential fixes, so you know exactly what to do!
1. Move the sim out and back in
This is the most likely thing you can do to fix the problem. Simply move your Sim outside (or have them travel to another location), then back in.
2. Ensure lights and electronics are off
Just like in real life, Sims can’t sleep if there’s music blasting in the room or the house or if you have the lights turned on. This includes earbuds or any other potential loud noises.
Turn them all off and the Sim will finally stay in bed as much as needed to fill up the energy meter.
IMPORTANT: Even pets can keep your Sim awake or wake them up. Make sure your pets are not barking or making any noises. If they are, scold them, then go back to sleep.

3. Manage your relationships
If your Sim has to share the bed with another, make sure that they have a solid enough relationship, otherwise they will refuse to sleep.
Easiest way to fix this is to have the Sim sleep in another bed than trying to fix the relationship quickly.

4. Change pajamas!
This is a fix that I saw recommended by other players, but never got to try since the others usually did the job.
But if none of the above works, simply change your Sim’s outfits, choose a new pajama, and try again. This can help!
5. Remove mods
If you have mods running – especially if you have installed a new mod and afterward, this problem starts to happen, uninstall them. It’s most likely that they’re causing a conflict.
Wrapping up
It’s never nice to see that your Sims can’t sleep or stay in bed long enough to fill up the energy bar, but fortunately, you know now what needs to be done to solve the problem.
