Disney Dreamlight Valley: Burying the Eel Quest [How to Complete]

If you’re looking for some very fun quests to do in a video game that is both rewarding and relaxing, look no further than Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Stay tuned to find out how to complete the Burying the Eel Quest.

This game offers one of the most relaxing quests ever, but still, when you finish them you will get a very rewarding feeling.

One of those quests is the Burying the Eel. You will be talking to Goofy and then Maoi and you’ll need to be collecting some items to craft a trap to catch an Eel.

Then once you have the Eel you will have to plant it on the beach.

In this guide, I will be giving you a detailed overview of what you’ll need to do and how to do it. Let’s learn how to complete the Burying the Eel quest.

How To Complete Burying the Eel Quest – Guide

First of all, you will need to gather these 3 items in order to complete this quest:

  • 3 Worms
  • 8 Softwood
  • Fishing Trap

After you talk to Goofy you will need to go Maoi. Then you’ll go back to Goofy again and you can actually begin this quest. This is when you’ll get these 3 tasks.

You will craft the Fishing Trap inside your house from the Worms and Softwood.

After you have it you will go to place this trap near the Dock in Dazzle Beach. This is where you will have to place it.

Now once you have placed this item you will want to take out your fishing rod and begin fishing.

You don’t actually need to use the item for fishing, you need to place the trap nearby and just do some plain old simple fishing around it. After a while, you will catch an Eel.

After you have the Eel you must bury it on the beach. This is the same beach as shown on the map above.

After you have planted it you will need to tend the crop – this means that you will have to water it every once in a while.

For the coconut tree to grow it might take a couple of hours and water. After the crop will grow you will finish the quest!

How to Get Worms in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Goofy will tell you to dig up worms nearby ponds on the map. You will have to walk around ponds(marked as blue on the map) and then look for this particular look.

It is a sort of ground that is higher than usual and it has cracks on it. You will be able to find a lot of them around the forest and on the map.

You will need a shovel to dig them up.

Once you dig them up there is a chance that you’ll get Worms. Keep in mind that you will have to be nearby ponds or rivers and not the sea.

You will need a total of 3 Worms to complete the Burying the Eel quest.

If you dig up all the ground cracks and you end up not getting worms, simply wait for a while until they respawn. A good idea is to get away from this area and come back after a while.

How to Get Softwood in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Softwood is the easiest item to get in the game. Actually, before you even take this quest you will probably have a couple of Softwood items in your inventory already.

You are able to find it literally everywhere on the map where there will be trees and forests so make sure you have big storage available!

You will go around bushes and trees and look at the ground. You do not need to chop down trees to get it. It is an item that spawns on the ground.

You will need a total of 8 Softwood for completing the Burying the Eel quest.

Crafting a Fishing Trap in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The next objective on the list is crafting a Fishing Trap out of the many recipes in the game.

To do this you will need to go to any crafting station in the game. This can be inside your house or any of the Disney characters’ houses (if they have a crafting station inside).

To craft a Fishing Trap you will need to have those Worms and Softwood that you got from before.

Conclusion

That should be it! This is how you complete the Burying the Eel quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Make sure that you keep checking on the planted crop at the end of this quest.

It might take a couple of hours but then you will have completed the quest completely.

I hope that this guide has helped you to finish this difficult and puzzling quest. Happy fishing!!
