The world of investments can only be unlocked by those who climb the corporate ladder, and head down the business path. That means that to unlock investments you will need to have a business career.

Though investments are not locked behind some exclusive reward, they are indeed limited to Sims who have chosen the Investor Branch of the Business Career path.

The business career has a total of 10 levels for players to go through. You will need to raise your Charisma, and Logic skills to progress through the levels.

Here is a breakdown of the first 6 levels that are universal:

Now that you have unlocked investments let’s break down how to actually invest in the game.

Go to your Sim’s computer, select web, and then choose “Invest in Stocks”. You will then be given the option to invest three different amounts.

  • 1,000$
  • 2,000$
  • 5,000$

A small tip to keep in mind. If you have the expansion Sims 4 Get Famous, by choosing the 5,000 investment, you will also gain some Fame.

Once you invest you have to wait for your first investment to be fully realized before you can invest again. This takes about two full sim days for your sim to receive feedback knowing how your investment went.

Your sim will either receive a return or a loss on their initial investment. The more simoleons you invest the better return you will have or the greater the loss.

Invest carefully!

This is all there is to know on how to invest in The Sims 4.

Final Thoughts

Investing can help you make some simoleons, and also let you get down a career path that will offer a lot of money in return, but since the stock market is such a limited part of the game, there is little to no hope that it will get more fleshed out in the future.
