Equipment plays a significant role in RPGs. In today’s guide, I will go over how to get Rosary of Redemption, Octopath Traveler 2.
In Octopath Traveler 2 equipment is categorized into five distinct types: Weapons, Headgear, Body Armor, Shields, and Accessories.
Most of these equipment types provide a variety of stat bonuses to characters. Thorough players will be able to find equipment pieces that curiously provide negative stat bonuses.
Most players would steer clear of equipment such as these because they have nothing to offer, but the game has managed to turn that negative into a positive. So let’s uncover how you can do that.

Octopath Traveler 2: Getting the Rosary of Redemption
First, let’s go over how to get the Rosary of Redemption, in Octopath Traveler 2.
There are two ways players will be able to get it. The legal way is by buying it from shops, and the less-than-legal way. You can either steal or mug NPCs.
The Rosary of Redemption is usually sold for 3000 Leaves, in shops across Solistia. There are currently two known locations you will find it:
- New Delsta Flats, Brightlands
- Lostseed, Brightlands
Keep in mind that if you find the item in a Black Market, you’ll have to visit it at night. It may be worth it, but it cost a chunk of Leaves to buy, so stock up funds. It may not look like it at first, but it may be in your best interest to buy two.
Now if you want to try your luck with stealing, here are the NPCs you want to talk to:
- Use Throne’s path action Steal on the Elderly Man in Flamechurch, Crestlands.
- Use Throne’s path action Steal on the Traveler in Abandoned Village, Brightlands.
- Use Osvald’s path action Mug on the Elderly Man in Flamechurch, Crestlands.
- Use Osvald’s path action Mug on the Traveler in Abandoned Village, Brightlands.
This is everything you will need to know in order to find the Rosary of Redemption.
Octopath Traveler 2: Secret to Using the Rosary of Redemption
There is an item called “Blessing in Disguise” players will be able to obtain twice.
Why is the item Blessing in Disguise so important then? Important enough to make such a big note of it.
Blessing in Disguise is an item that allows the negative stat bonuses of the other equipped items to turn into positive. No matter how big or small they may be, there are no restrictions.
You also don’t have to worry about changing the positive bonuses, to negative ones. The item’s effect will only apply to negative bonuses. That’s why an accessory like the Rosary of Redemption that appears useless, is more useful than you may realize.
Now that you know why you need it, let’s go over where you can find it while exploring.
The first location is the Seat of the Water Sprite, in the Crestlands. It has a danger level of 26, so you might need to prepare a little bit before trying to clear it.
The chest you are looking for will be in the northeast area of the dungeon. After descending a ladder, there will be a few steps, and you will see it across the water on a small piece of land.
The second location is The Lost Isle, in the Sundering Sea. It has a danger level of 45, so it will take some time for you to reach it. Once you enter the dungeon you will see it on the left on top of the wall.
This area also holds a small secret, most players will want to check out.
