When going through the levels in Wylde Flowers, you will have two main challenges: unlocking floor 15 in the Mines, but also finding the key on that level in order to progress to level 16. I’m here to help you with both problems.
Unlocking Floor 15 in the Mines
Up until floor 14, all players had to do was gather stones. After enough stones were mined, they would eventually get the key to the next floor.
However, floor 14 is different in the sense that there is no key to be found. Instead, there’s only a door with a note saying ‘I have the key to this door. I will return it when the time is right. -Anonymous’.
Therefore, to unlock floor 15 in the mines, players will need to progress the storyline. Specifically, they have to complete the Drought Story Arc which changes seasons from summer to fall.

At the end of this story, when the high priestess gives players the fall ritual incantation, she will also give the key to the lower level of the mines. This occurs just after the rain ritual incantation is completed and will allow you to unlock mine level 15.
How to Change Season to Fall
Right after completing the rain ritual, players will unlock the quest that allows them to change seasons from summer to fall.
The quest is called ‘Turn a New Leaf‘ and requires the player to craft one Fall Ritual Incantation.
To craft the incantation, players will need the following materials:
- 1 Paper
- 1 Ink
- 1 Ruby
- 1 Marigold
- 1 Beeswax
And that’s it. After crafting the incantation, talk to the coven to begin the ritual. Goodbye summer, welcome fall, and level 15 in the mines!

Where to find the key in mine level 15 in Wylde Flowers?
Simply unlocking access to this new level won’t fix all problems. I found it really difficult to actually get the key here that allows me to progress any further.
So if you’re already at mine level 15, and can’t find the key for level 16 – keep digging. But instead of the regular rocks, dig up the ingot rocks – one of them will drop the key. I recommend upgrading your pick axe if you haven’t done so already to go faster through this.
How to Get Gold Ore
To get gold ore, players need to unlock level 15 in the mines.
It isn’t necessary to progress into the fall season, but they need to complete the rain ritual. After the high priestess awards the key to the mines, players can progress to floor 15.

Specifically, gold ore is found on floors 15-20, alongside other gems and resources.
Gold is going to be a key resource since it allows players to fully upgrade their tools.
The gold upgrades increase efficiency by reducing energy used per action. In addition, the gold pickaxe can break gem rocks in one hit instead of two. Thus, players are able to mine more ore per day or cut more wood.
