TBH: Task Bar Hero Best Ranger Build

The Ranger is the main damage dealer in Task Bar Hero, so building her right is extremely important for your overall progress. And that is what I am here to help you with – a compete, best Ranger build for both early to mid-game stages and late-game ones.

I also shared build guides for her regular teammates in the line-up: open them in new tabs and read them when you’re done with this one:

Now, let’s jump right in an see how to get the prefect Ranger hero in this game!

Best Ranger Build in Task Bar Hero

Both in early and late game, the general strategy around building the Ranger remains the same, unlike with other heroes.

Here, you will focus on maxing out damage output through direct damage increases and attack speed boosts, as well as critical change boosts.

You should always choose items – and especially upgrades for them (Engraving and Decorations) – that boost damage. The Ranger stays at the back, so boosts to HP and Armor are useless. She’s your damage machine, so only focus on increasing that.

With these in mind, I will share the best builds depending on where you are level-wise, and we’ll start with the early to mid-game build:

Best early game Ranger Build

Ranger Character build for early game

Unlike the other characters, many of the skills you can invest in for the Ranger are or at least appear to be useful. But small changes can have huge results, so here’s what I recommend in terms of the early game build:

  • Active skills: Rapid Fire and Arrow Rain early on (then switch from Arrow Rain to Swift Surge when you unlock it).
  • Attack Speed Enhancement and Projectile Damage Enhancement are mandatory early on
  • Put remaining points in Critical Chance Enhancement to deal that much-needed critical damage constantly (when you max it out, it’s basically 1 in 9 shots that causes critical damage, which is not bad at all.

Remember! The position of the Ranger is important. Always keep her last in the formation, so you have two characters in front of her soaking up the damage (usually the Knight, followed by the Priest).

Best mid to late game Ranger Build

The strategy doesn’t change much in the later stages of the game. The Ranger remains the main damage dealer, so you have to focus on increasing general damage, attack speed and also focus on increasing the critical chance, both through skills and item enhancements.

The main change I would make is switch from either Swift Surge (if you have enough attack speed from items) or Rapid Fire (if you don’t) to Piercing Arrow. This becomes a solid skill, as it quickly destroys powerful enemies that stay at the back of the enemy line.

Apart from that, ignore HP and Armor upgrading skills and focus on damage dealing and critical chance boosts: finish upgrading your Projectile Enhancement and the likes for an easy progress through the stages.

Remember! Keep an eye on your items at this point. The level of the item is very important, not just its rarity. A level 1 weapon (or any other type of item) will be worse than a level 30+ weapon, even of a higher level rarity. So make sure to always switch over to newer, better loot as you get it.

Wrapping up

With the Ranger being the main damage dealer in your lineup, you know exactly how to build her so she’s as lethal as she can be. I am sure you will put this build to good use and get the most out of it.
