While exploring the graphic settings of the game, you may have noticed one weird option that doesn’t have a description of what it does. Let’s see what the Pixel Perfect setting is in Sea of Stars and whether you should use it or not.
Overall, this setting affects the display resolution and how it will show up in your device.
In this guide, I will explain what is the Pixel Perfect setting in Sea of Stars to help you find out if you should enable it.

Sea of Stars Pixel Perfect – What Is It?

After accessing the settings menu and navigating to the Video tab, you’ll notice a Pixel Perfect option, just below Screen Resolution and above VSync.
The Pixel Perfect setting will place black bars on the top and bottom of your screen if your monitor isn’t 16:9. The black bars will make it so that your display resolution isn’t being stretched.
The bars will make it so that the game will display on 16:9 without needing to have a 16:9 monitor.
However, most people will have a 16:9 monitor, since it’s the most common type. If you have a 16:9 monitor and turn on Pixel Perfect, it will do absolutely nothing.
Should You Enable Pixel Perfect?

If you have a 16:9 monitor, there’s no reason to enable Pixel Perfect. However, if you have any other monitor, it’s worth enabling.
This way, you’ll be able to play the game on its native resolution, as the developers intended it to be played. Above all, it’s a matter of preference. If you are bothered by the black bars, keep Pixel Perfect off.
However, if you are bothered by the stretched resolution, Pixel Perfect will make it smoother overall.
Wrapping up
In conclusion, the Pixel Perfect setting allows players to add two black bars on their screen and tweak their resolution if they aren’t playing on a 16:9 monitor.
Since most players use 16:9 monitors, this setting won’t make a difference if your monitor isn’t 16:9.
