Robinette might not be one of the strongest Megabonk heroes, or one that builds up to invincibility like my Vlad Build here.
However, she’s extremely fun to play, as she grows stronger through greed – now that’s something I can relate to, ha!
Anyway, I am here to share the best build for Robinette right now, for a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that starts slow but snowballs into absolute domination once her economy kicks in.
Robinette Overview

Robinette starts with a Bow and slightly higher Jump Height than most characters. Her defining feature is her passive, Stonks, which grants +1% gold per level and scales her damage with the total gold she’s holding.
In short: the richer she gets, the harder she hits – just how real life works.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Even though she doesn’t seem very strong at first – and truly, isn’t if you compare her to the other characters in Megabonk – she still has some strengths that you can take advantage of when building the best of her:
- Impressive late-game scaling
- Strong synergy with projectile weapons
- Excellent mobility and range
- Can outscale every other hero with proper gold management
Weaknesses:
- Fragile early game
- Weak damage before gold scaling builds up
- Loses power if overspending too soon, making her one of the hardest characters to master.

How Stonks Works (Gold Scaling Explained)
Before we get into the perfect Robinette build, we need to understand how her chore mechanic – Stonks – works.
Basically, every coin in your inventory directly increases her attack power. That means the longer you stay alive and the more gold you hoard, the stronger she becomes.
This means that timing your spending is essential: you want to spend a lot of gold in the early game stages, until chest prices climb above roughly 150 gold.
From that point on, stop buying and start saving. Her scaling really takes off once you’re sitting around 1,500 gold (maybe even a bit more) – at this point, spending a bit of gold won’t ruin your damage.
Also, to help you a bit, we have stats that boost gold generation, pickup range and luck that compound this effect. Get to mid-game and you’re all set!
Best Robinette Build

Now that we’ve got all the basics covered, it’s time to jump into the actual build. It focuses on the obvious mechanics: projectile synergy, gold amplification, and defensive sustain for longer survival.
Weapons
Robinette’s Bow sets the tone for the entire build – ranged precision with stacking projectiles.
| Weapon | Role | Synergy |
|---|---|---|
| Bow (Starter) | Baseline projectile tool | Works perfectly with Quantity Tome |
| Bananarang | Core secondary | High projectile count, strong scaling |
| Revolver | Precision finisher | Excellent mobility damage |
| Aegis | Protective backup | Spawns extra shields as Quantity increases |
| Lightning Staff | Optional late-game slot | Great crowd control through Lightning Orb |
| Firestaff / Axe / Katana | Backup choices | Serviceable early-game options |
Why these and not others: Bananarang and Revolver multiply her long-range potential. Aegis compensates for her fragility with scalable shields. Lightning Staff adds crowd control for red ghosts and clustered mobs, perfect for Tier 3 survival.
Avoid melee unless you’re cornered and you have no other options; her entire kit rewards spacing and constant movement, not getting up close & personal.

Tomes
Tomes are the backbone of her scaling. Prioritize those that multiply gold gain or projectile output. Here they are, ranked from the best (first) to worst (last) – although even the final one is still great, but offers less synergy overall.
| Tome | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Gold Tome | Increases gold drops and passive damage |
| Quantity Tome | Adds more projectiles to every shot |
| XP Tome | Levels faster, increases gold gain rate |
| Cursed Tome | Boosts power at a cost |
| Luck Tome | Improves shop rolls and item drops |
| Chaos Tome | Adds unpredictability and fun mix |
Recommended Pairing: Gold + Quantity as first picks. If drops allow it, add XP or Cursed for smoother progression.
Items
Robinette thrives on wealth management. Stack items that either multiply gold generation or increase projectile output.
| Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Moldy Cheese | Boosts gold gain |
| Golden Glove | Converts wealth into raw damage |
| Backpack | Expands item slots for long runs |
| Golden Sneakers | Movement speed & gold synergy |
| Piggy Bank | Generates passive gold income |
| Greed | Increases gold from all sources |
| Lucky Coin | Chance for bonus gold drops |
| Crown | Scales gold with waves |
| Metal Detector | Finds gold naturally |
| Aegis | Extra protection |
| Phantom Shroud | Evasion and panic survival |
| Golden Shield | Small protection boost |
Priority order: Start with Piggy Bank or Greed as soon as possible, then pick up Moldy Cheese and Golden Glove to tie the economy directly to damage. Later, add Backpack and Phantom Shroud for sustain and survivability.

Gameplay Strategy
Each run is divided into three parts, and for Robinette, the early game stage is the most important. I would go as far as saying that, if by the middle of the second stage you still don’t have most things going as they should, build-wise, it’s best to restart.
Early Game
Focus purely on survival and collecting early gold. Buy any solid weapon drop that keeps you alive, ideally Revolver or Bananarang since these are the mains.
Spend gold until chests exceed 150 gold, then start hoarding. At the same time, avoid all dangerous fights and keep this in mind: Pickup Range upgrades pay off immediately by accelerating gold income.
Mid Game
Now the snowball begins rolling, ideally after the RNG Gods were merciful with you.
Purchase Piggy Bank, Greed, or Lucky Coin in shops as your priority. Stack 2–3 gold-boosting items before shifting to damage pieces.
Reroll shops only when you’re searching for missing core items, as wasting gold slows growth. Your aim is to reach 1,500–2,000 gold while maintaining a safe distance from enemies.
Late Game
At this stage, Robinette becomes a monster. With 3 or 4 gold-boosting items and projectile synergies online, your attacks melt everything across the screen.
Now is the time to start rerolling aggressively for top-tier combat gear like Mirror, Timewarp, or Kevin. Maintain a 50-gold minimum for emergency rerolls or last-minute purchases.
By this time, gold generation will exceed spending needs. Turn every shop into an upgrade station, fine-tuning your arsenal until no enemy survives more than a second in sight.

Conclusion
Robinette is the definition of delayed gratification in Megabonk and something we all need to learn at some point. She starts fragile and greedy, but with discipline and smart gold management, she becomes unstoppable.
For players who love scaling builds and the thrill of calculated risk, Robinette remains one of the most rewarding characters in the game. And if you have additional recommendations or maybe a completely different build that gives great results, let us all know by commenting below!
