Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Unlock the Frosted Heights Biome

Every game needs a snowy biome and the Frosted Heights serves this exact purpose in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

It is one of the most visually stunning biomes in the game. Of course, it also has its practical uses: new quests, resources, and even pets await you in the Frosted Heights.

In this article, I will guide you on how to unlock the Frosted Heights biome fully, list all new materials found there, and recommend what to do after completing it.

How to Unlock the Frosted Heights Biome

Frosted Heights map location in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The Frosted Heights biome is located in the top-right corner of the map. It can only be accessed through the Forest of Valor and costs 10.000 dreamlight to unlock.

It is the next recommended biome to progress after completing the Sunlit Plateau, which costs 7.000 dreamlight to unlock.

To access the Frosted Heights biome, move up from the Forest of Valor and interact with the thorns there.

How to Break Icicles and Unlock the Second Part of the Frosted Heights Biome

Breaking icicles with the pickaxe upgrade.

You’ll notice that similar to the Glade of Trust, the Frosted Heights biome is split into two parts.

The map is separated by bridges blocked by icicles. To access the second part of the Frosted Heights biome, players will need to break those icicles.

As for how to break them, it’s part of upgrading the pickaxe through Elsa’s questline. Specifically, players will need to complete ‘The Signing Ice’ quest, given by Elsa at friendship level 6.

With the new upgrade, you’ll be able to break every icicle on the map and explore Frosted Heights fully.

All New Materials in Frosted Heights

Goofy’s stand is fully upgraded in the Frosted Heights biome.

Which Biome to Unlock After the Frosted Heights

Exploring the Forgotten Lands in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

If you’ve followed my recommended order until now based on dreamlight cost, you should only be missing the Forgotten Lands.

If you’re missing any other biome, go for that. Otherwise, it’s time to explore the final biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley: the Forgotten Lands.

Make sure to start saving dreamlight since the Forgotten Lands biome costs 15.000 dreamlight.

However, it will give you access to some unique new materials, like pumpkin seeds, which are one of the most profitable seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Conclusion

To sum up, the Frosted should be the second to last biome players unlock in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

It includes various new materials, allows players to progress Elsa’s questline, and unlocks everything on the right side of the map.

If you’ve completed the Frosted Heights biome, you’re almost approaching the end of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s current content.
