Can Diamond Mines Stop Producing in Jagged Alliance 3?
The short answer is yes, diamond mines will stop producing diamonds and run dry after a while. After all, the game incentivizes you to continuously capture new mines and find other methods of making money like selling valuable items and interacting with NPCs.
Also, mines will give you a warning before they are completely empty. As a result, money is limited in JA3 and you’ll have to keep moving and progressing in the game. Otherwise, you’ll run out of money and your mercs will start leaving your squad.
Unfortunately, there is no way to see how long it will take before a mine will run dry. This is random for each mine and the only indication is the warning when it’s almost empty.
How to Stop Mines From Running Dry
Thankfully, there is an alternative if you want to prevent your mine from drying out. To do that, you’ll need to install mods and specifically the Evermine mod.
This mod will make all mines in Jagged Alliance 3 have an infinite supply of diamonds. Thus, you’ll be able to have a more consistent income as long as you’re able to defend your mines.

Keep in mind that this will make the game easier. If you’re into JA3 for the challenge and want the original experiences as designed by the developers, I recommend avoiding mods at first.
