With the latest addition of Sumeru and the Dendro reaction to Genshin Impact, new teams have risen to the top.
With only a few Dendro characters available at the moment, each team is based on Collei, Tighnari, or the main character (MC). However, there are multiple unique Dendro reactions and players can get very creative in the team-building aspect.
One of the biggest changes in the meta brought by the 3.0 update and the Dendro reaction is the rise of Electro characters.
The three new Dendro and Electro reactions have allowed many previously mediocre Electro characters to rise to the top of the meta.
In this guide, we’ll go through the Dendro reactions in general and showcase the three best team suggestions that utilize them effectively in Genshin Impact’s 3.0 update.
All Dendro Reactions in Genshin Impact
Dendro reactions are a unique addition to Genshin Impact’s combat system. Not every element triggers a reaction with Dendro and some can trigger multiple, chained reactions. Here are all the possible reactions:
- Burning (Dendro + Pyro)
- Bloom (Dendro + Hydro)
- Hyperbloom (Bloom + Electro)
- Burgeon (Bloom + Pyro)
- Quicken (Dendro + Electro)
- Aggravate (Quicken + Electro)
- Spread (Quicken + Dendro)
Best Dendro Reaction Teams in 3.0
Now that everyone’s more familiar with the Dendro reactions, I’ll go through some of the best teams that utilize them to their highest potential.
There are options for everyone. Either you got lucky enough to get Tighnari right away, or you’d rather make do with the free-to-play options of Collei and MC, there’s a team for you.
Dendro characters serve mostly as supports/sub-DPS that prioritize elemental mastery builds and only have minimal field uptime.
Therefore, any of the three characters can work in each team, and getting Tighnari is not essential by any means.
Bloom & Freeze – Ganyu, Mona, Collei, Sucrose
This is known as the fridge team and utilizes the Freeze and Bloom reactions. Dendro does not combine with Cryo, which is what makes this team thrive.
Specifically, the goal is to use Hydro + Dendro to trigger bloom, and then use Hydro + Cryo to freeze the enemies on top of the bloom seeds. This way, they won’t be able to move around and will take maximum bloom damage.

Most characters can be replaced here. Any Cryo DPS can work instead of Ganyu, while Mona can be replaced with other characters that have consistent Hydro application (Xingqiu, Yelan, Kokomi).
Collei can be replaced with any Dendro character. As for Sucrose, she is the best Anemo due to her Elemental Mastery bonus, but she can also be replaced with Kazuha.
As for artifacts, Ganyu goes for 4p Blizzard Strayer, Mona for 4p Noblesse Oblige, Collei for 4p Deepwood Memories, and Sucrose with 4p Viridescent Venerer. Collei and Sucrose should try to build as much elemental mastery as possible.
Hyperbloom & Quicken – Keqing, Xingqiu, Sucrose, MC
With the new Dendro reactions, many Electro characters got indirectly buffed and Keqing is a great example. This team utilizes the Hyperbloom, Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread reactions to deal substantial damage.

The main goal of this team is to trigger as many elemental reactions as possible. Therefore, you need consistent Electro, Hydro, and Dendro applications. The chosen characters offer all three.
As for artifacts, Keqing goes for 4p Thundering Fury, Xingqiu for 4p Severed Fate, Sucrose for 4p Viridensent Venerer, and MC for 4p Deepwood Memories.
As for stats, Keqing prioritizes Crit stats and Atk but with an elemental mastery sands, Xingqiu focuses on energy recharge, while the other two build elemental mastery.
Players can also replace Xinqiu with Fischl (or any other Electro) to skip Hyperbloom and focus on the Electro + Dendro reactions.
Thoma, Collei, Yelan, Kazuha
This team focuses on the Burgeon reaction for solid AoE damage. Specifically, you use Collei and Yelan to trigger bloom. Then, you switch to Thoma to make all the Dendro seeds explore for huge damage.
The only downside of Burgeon is that it inflicts self-damage. However, with Thoma’s Elemental Burst which offers a shield, players can fully negate that damage.
Also, Kazuha helps gather all the Dendro seeds together, and thus increases the total damage dealt.
Regarding artifacts, Thoma goes for 4p Gilded Dreams set, Collei for 4p Deepwood Memories, Yelan for 4p Severed Fate, and Kazuha for 4p Viridencent Venerer.
As for stats, each character prioritizes Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge, with Crit stats when possible.
Conclusion
With 3.0, there are 7 different Dendro reactions. I’ve done my best to select three teams that utilize these reactions in various ways and to their best potential.
Each team has replacements, as long as they are of the same element and have similarly consistent elemental applications.
