With the huge variety of loadout options in Ready or Not, it can be tricky to find the perfect loadout.
Nevertheless, if you’ve decided to give shotguns a try, there are some recommendations to make the strongest builds overall that will help you take down enemies with ease.
If you haven’t decided on which type of weapon to use, take a look at our list of the best weapons overall in the game.
Keep in mind that shotguns are ideal weapon choices in smaller-scale maps such as the house and the gas station.
In this guide, I will showcase the best shotgun loadout in Ready or Not including the best weapons and attachments.
All Shotguns in Ready or Not

There are four shotguns available in Ready or Not, ranging from pump-action to semi-automatic ones. Here are all the shotguns in the game.
- B1301
- B1301 “Entryman” (same stats as B1301, better aesthetics)
- M4 Super 90
- 870 CQB
Both the B1301 options are characterized by their low recoil, the M4 Super 90 shines due to its high damage and semi-automatic fire mode, while the 870 excels in dealing high damage with carefully placed shots as it’s a pump-action shotgun.
But which one is the best? Let’s see.
Best Shotgun in Ready or Not
The best shotgun available in the game is considered the M4 Super 90. Used by Frost in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, this weapon combines high damage, controllable recoil, quick fire rate, and a semi-automatic firing mode.
Even for mid-range encounters, aim at the enemy’s chest and fire twice. The first shot will weaken them, while the second, due to the recoil, will most likely be a headshot and finish them.
Keep in mind that the B1301 is also a great choice. Despite its slightly lower damage, it has a more manageable recoil.
Nevertheless, the 870 CQB is not recommended since it’s a pump action shotgun. If you want to go for close-quarters fighting, you’ll need to be able to fire on semi-automatic to deal with enemies.
Best Attachments for the M4 Super 90 in Ready or Not
In shotguns, you can modify the optic, the muzzle device, as well as the tactical under-barrel attachment.
- Optic – SRO Red Dot – It makes it easier to aim with the weapon on mid ranges, while also increasing ADS (aim down sights) speed.
- Muzzle – 12GA Break – Reduces vertical recoil and thus makes controlling the weapon while shooting in semi-automatic easier.
- Tactical – Laser Pointer – Great for CQB, especially when you don’t have the time to ADS. You can swap this for a Flashlight if you’re on a dark map and can’t see.
And that’s all you’ll need in terms of mods.
Wrapping up
To sum up, that’s everything you need to know on the best shotgun loadout in Ready or Not.
Opt for the M4 Super 90 and equip it with an SRO Red Dot, a 12GA Break, and a Laser Pointer, and get ready to take down any enemies in your sight.
If you’re feeling confident, you can even consider turning off the AI team members and completing the mission solo.
