Whiteout Survival: How to Teleport to a New State?

So, you’re at that unfortunate moment where you decide that there’s not much activity left in your current stats in Whiteout Survival, and you want to teleport to a new one. Or maybe you have friends playing in a different state and you’d like to join them.

Today, I’ll teach you how to teleport to a new state in this game. But prepare for a bit of a disappointment, as you are not currently available to make many choices.

How to Change State

Whiteout Survival offers two primary methods for changing states: temporary teleportation during events and permanent state transfers. Each has its own requirements, restrictions, and implications.

1. Temporary Teleportation: State of Power (SVS)

The State of Power (SVS) event provides a limited opportunity for players to temporarily teleport to another state. The catch is that you can only teleport to the specific state your own state is battling.

In other words, not much of a choice here. But at least you can do this with the cross-state teleporter.

You only receive three teleporters for the duration of the event, but bouncing back to your own state won’t use one.

Unfortunately, outside of the SVS, teleporting between states is not available.

And since we’re talking about events, I recommend reading about a more fun one: the Bear Hunt event in Whiteout Survival.

2. Permanent State Transfers

For a permanent move and more of a choice, you can change your state during the Transfer Event, which is held every month (up to every 2 months). This is a complex process, but worth it if you want to permanently move to a different state.

Transfer Requirements

Personal Requirements:
  • Power Cap: Your Chief’s power must not exceed the transfer cap set for the target state.
  • Furnace Level: A minimum level is required, varying with the target state’s age (up to level 30).
  • Alliance Status: You must leave your alliance before transferring.
  • Presidency: Presidents or recent former Presidents are not eligible to transfer.
  • Cooldown: Transfers are limited to once every 30 days.
  • Character Limit: You cannot have more than four characters in the target state.
State Requirements:
  • Server Age: The target state must be within 90 days older or younger than your current state.
  • Synchronization: Both states must share the same generation of heroes, unlocked buildings, and other progress milestones.

Transfer Phases

State transfer is a three-phase process:

Phase I: Pre-Transfer (3 Days)
  • Presidential Duties: Presidents set power caps and review transfer requests.
  • Chief Activities: Chiefs explore eligible states and contact Presidents for potential transfers.
  • Important Note: Transfers cannot be initiated during this phase.
Phase II: Invitational Transfer (2 Days)
  • Presidential Invitations: Presidents can invite Chiefs to transfer using ordinary or special invitations. Special invitations bypass power restrictions for strong players and renew monthly. However, Leading States do not offer such invitations.
  • Invitation Limits: Presidents can send regular invitations, capped at 35 for Ordinary States and 20 for Leading States. Further invitations beyond these limits become invalid.
  • Chief Actions: Disband troops from the Enlistment Office and prepare for relocation.
Phase III: Open Transfer (2 Days)
  • Free Transfer: Chiefs meeting power cap limits can transfer without needing approval, but available slots are limited.

Transfer Score Calculation

Your Transfer Score is determined by the sum of your current Furnace level, Chief Gear and Charms, Hero Power, Hero Gear Power, and Pet Power.

Troop power does not count towards your Transfer Score. The higher your score compared to prospective states’ ratings, the more Transfer Passes will be required. Moving to a less powerful state is generally cheaper.

Costs

State transfers require Transfer Passes, available in packages or through the Alliance Store. Costs depend on your power score relative to the target state:

PackagePrice
1 Pass$4.99
2 Passes$9.99
3 Passes$19.99
5 Passes$99.99

Alternative method: create a new character

While this is not exactly a transfer or teleportation to a new state, but starting afresh, it might be the easiest, cheapest and potentially best option in the game at the moment.

It does come with other drawbacks, like access to fewer heroes. Plus, you’re more vulnerable to attacks if you join an established state with very strong players.

But at least you can choose where to start and, if your current state is no longer challenging/active enough, or if you have friends playing in a different one, it’s a good alternative.

Then, it’s grinding Fire Crystals again… like always.
