Why Fire Crystals Matter

Fire Crystals take your city to the next level, literally. They allow you to push buildings and troops beyond level 30 to unlock new skills and boosts.

At the same time, they allow you to stay competitive by getting access to stronger troops and better city upgrades.

However, these crystals are VERY rare. Use them wisely – canceled upgrades only refund 50% of spent crystals, so try not to do it!

Key upgrades to use your Fire Crystals on

Here’s where I recommend you to focus your Fire Crystals for maximum impact:

1. Furnace

The Furnace is the heart of your city after level 30. Upgrades unlock FC1 to FC5, giving massive boosts to your power and unlocking troop skills.

Each upgrade provides a significant jump in city power and expands your strategic options, so make this your first and main focus.

What you need to know:

• At FC1, you gain access to a new Furnace skin and unlock other buildings, such as the Embassy and Infirmary.
• FC1 requires 132 Fire Crystals, while FC5 requires 335 Fire Crystals and substantial amounts of other resources like wood, coal, iron, and meat. So prepare for a long grind!
• Higher levels take longer to upgrade, with up to 14 days needed at FC5.

2. Military Camps (Infantry, Marksman, Lancer)

Upgrade these right after the Furnace. FC1 troops unlock automatically when you upgrade a camp – no need to retrain. Skills improve at FC3 and FC5, making your army unstoppable.

To show you an example of the costs, FC1 requires 59 Fire Crystals, while FC5, 150.

3. Command Center

Boost rally capacity and troop deployment for larger battles. Essential for PvP and PvE dominance.

This is also more affordable – just 26 Fire Crystals are needed for FC1 and 67 for FC5.

4. Infirmary

Don’t ignore this building like I did. If your infirmary’s full during an attack, your troops are gone for good. Upgrading also boosts healing speed and capacity.

How to Get more Fire Crystals

This is a difficult resource to hoard, but my tips and tricks below will help you get a reasonable supply of FCs in Whiteout Survival.

1. Daily Missions

Complete daily tasks to grab Fire Crystals from the last chest. Small amounts add up.

2. Intel Missions

Hunt beasts in Intel Missions to earn Fire Crystals. You can score 10-15 per day by hunting 4-5 beasts every 8 hours.

3. Crystal Laboratory

Convert surplus resources into Fire Crystals. You can refine up to five times daily, with chances ranging from 1 to 5 crystals per refine.

4. Special Events

Engaging in events like Flame and Fangs, Frosty Fortune, and Alliance Mobilization can yield substantial Fire Crystal rewards. Regularly check the event calendar and participate actively to boost your Fire Crystal reserves.

5. State of Power Shop

Exchange Sunfire Tokens for Fire Crystals in the State of Power Shop. Earn these tokens through various activities and battles to facilitate your upgrades.

6. Packs

If you’re willing to spend real money, buying packs is the fastest way to stockpile Fire Crystals.

7. Monuments

Be one of the first 20 players to reach Furnace level 30 to unlock a monument mission and score 60 Fire Crystals.

8. Alliance Collaboration

Working with your alliance during mobilization tasks can lead to additional Fire Crystal rewards. Team efforts often yield better results, enhancing resource acquisition.
