Deneb Rove is a witch in Tactics Ogre Reborn and a valuable asset to any team.
However, the requirements for unlocking her have changed significantly from the previous game, thus leaving many players confused.

In this guide, I will explain step-by-step how to recruit Deneb in Tactics Ogre Reborn, as well as how to unlock her exclusive Wicce class.
Step 1: Expand Shop to Include All Dragon Elemental Orbs
Visit Deneb’s shop (unlocked in chapter 4), or any other shop and go to the ‘Auction’ tab. There, you can auction off monsters and expand the shop’s inventory.
For this step, you need to expand the shop’s inventory to include all dragon elemental orbs. To unlock each orb, you need to auction Dragons. Specifically, you’ll need one dragon for each orb.
Here are all the dragons and their equivalent orbs.
- Flame Dragon/Cyclops – Inferno Orb
- Frost Dragon – Black Ice Orb
- Thunder Dragon – Storm Orb
- Flood Dragon/Octopus – Cataract Orb
- Earth Dragon – Dust Orb
- Cloud Dragon – Gale Orb
- Arc Dragon – Radiant Orb
- Dark Dragon – Gloom Orb
- Hydra/Void Hydra – Void Orb
All dragons except Flame, Frost, Thunder, and Earth can be found at Phorampa Wildwood. The four exceptions are found at earlier stages.
Step 2: Purchase All Dragon Orbs
If you want the more powerful Wicce class, do not purchase the orbs yet.
Now that each orb is available for purchase, you can purchase each of them and a cutscene will trigger while leaving the shop.
This cutscene will recruit Deneb to your party.
However, following this process will result in her having the default Witch class, not the powerful Wicce one. If you want to have Deneb at her full potential, you’ll need to unlock the Wicce class.
How to Unlock the Wicce Class
To unlock the Wicce class, you’ll need to progress to Chapter 4. There, visit the Warren Report talk section and read ‘Mysterious Blast on Exeter’.
Then, clear the battles before the Palace of the Dead, and on the third-floor search on the top left side for a portal door.
Complete the fight there and you’ll be able to upgrade relics at shops.
To unlock the Wicce class, you’ll need to visit Deneb’s shop and use the ‘Upgrade Relic’ feature three times.
Then, and only then, purchase all orbs from Deneb’s shop. While leaving the shop, a cutscene will trigger starting the battle at Vasque.
During this battle, your goal is to keep Deneb alive at all costs. If successful, she will join your party as a Wicce, and her power will be phenomenal.
