Piranha Plants on Parade is the second stage in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and in this guide, I will showcase how to get to the Secret Exit.
Many players have completed the stage but noticed that they didn’t get the checkmark, when they pressed the L button, to check the stage selection.
This was the first indication, that they missed something, and that the game may be hidden secret exits.

Piranha Plants on Parade Secret Exit
The secret exit can be found above these pipes, that appear after you touch the Wonder Seed.
The Wonder Seed is on top of a music bridge between two pipes. Once you touch it, the world will change, and you will hear a lovely tune.
Try not to hit the Piranhas, and enjoy the song. Try to avoid taking damage because you will need to be big. Move with them across the stage, and try to get as many coins as possible.
Once you hear the lovely Piranha’s song, you will get the Wonder Seed. Turn back, and jump on top of the right pipe.
Keep in mind, that you can make the jump, and find the secret exit even if you don’t pick up the Wonder Seed. You will want to make use of the Wall Jump if the pipes are not there.
You will want to do a running jump, get on top, move across the platform, and enter the pipe.
Once you exit the pipe, you will exit in the foreground, run across a music bridge, and find the secret exit.
Piranha Plants on Parade Character Selection
The best characters to use in this situation would be the Yoshis.
Yoshi has a flutter jump ability, that when a player long presses the A button, they will stay in the air longer, and gain some height.
Every other character will be able to do it, but Yoshi can do it easier.
Piranha Plants on Parade Useful Badges
I will only make note of two badges that you will want to use to avoid spoiling badges you will find later on.
- Parachute Cap: While in midair, press R or shake the controller to open your hat and float slowly downward.
- Wall-Climb Jump: Jump against a wall and then press the B Button to jump straight up once. (or whichever button you have set the jump button to)
These are badges found in the first world, so you will be able to reach the Secret Exit route, without having to go too deep into the game.
