First, you can select it from your ship’s monitor and spectate it, just like you would spectate a player. This allows you to scan the area around it for monsters.
Second, you can trigger it to say ‘Hello’ at any point. Check the monitor to see its name (the same location where player names would be), and in the Terminal, type ‘ping x’ where you’ll replace ‘x’ with the Radar’s name.
This has two uses. One, you can place it near the building’s exit to help your teammates find the exit if they get lost. The sound it makes is fairly loud, so it will help your teammates find their way out.
Two, the Radar Booster can be used as a noise trap to lure Blind Dogs, a common creature in Rend, Dine, and Titan.
