How to Feed Animals in Sun Haven

Animal Husbandry is a great way for making money in Sun Haven and progress in the game.

To ensure your animals are providing you with high-quality products, it’s essential to keep them happy and fed.

To feed animals, you’ll need to craft or buy Animal Food and make sure to feed them daily.

In this guide, I will explain how to feed animals in Sun Haven, how to make Animal Food, and how to properly use the Auto-Feeder and Auto-Collector.

Before moving on, make sure to check out our guide on how to pick up and move animals. Moving the barn won’t automatically transfer the animals as well, so it’s easy to get confused.

How to Get Animal Food in Sun Haven

There are two ways to get Animal Food in Sun Haven.

First, players can choose to buy it directly from the Pet Store at the price of 110 Gold. However, this isn’t exactly gold-efficient, so I recommend avoiding this method if you can.

The second and best method to get animal food is by making it at a Baker’s Station. The Baker’s Station requires the following materials to craft:

  • 10x Wooden Plank
  • 20x Stone
  • 2x Sugar

Also, you’ll need a Crafting Table to make it.

Then, at the Baker’s Station, players can make Animal Food at the cost of one Wheat per Animal Food. The crafting process takes 30 in-game minutes per Animal Food and is a great way to use any Wheat you have.

As for how to get Wheat, simply buy Wheat Seeds from the General Store, plant them, and wait four days for them to grow.

Now that you’ve crafted or bought Animal Food, you’re ready to start feeding your animals.

To feed animals in Sun Haven, place Animal Food in your toolbar and equip it. Then, go to the animal you want to feed and interact with it.

Keep in mind that you can feed each animal once per day and you’ll need to do it consistently to keep their food bar full.

How to Use the Auto-Feeder and Auto-Collector

If you want to automate the feeding and collecting parts of the process, you’ll need to buy an Auto-Feeder and an Auto-Collector. Both can be bought at the City Hall.

As for how they work, the Auto-Feeder and Auto-Collector do not need to be accessible by the animals. Instead, they need to be in the range of the Feeding Stations (one for each animal) and the animals themselves to collect any materials they produce.

You’ll also need to place Animal Food in the Auto-Feeder, which will transfer it to the Feeding Stations every day.

Wrapping up

To summarize, players can feed animals in Sun Haven by crafting Animal Food via the Baker’s Station and then giving it to each animal daily.

Alternatively, they can place the food in the Auto-Feeder and as long as it’s within the range of the Feeding Stations, it will fill them up every day.

Are you using the Auto-Feeder, or are you doing it manually? Which animals do you have? Let us know in the comments below.
