You know the drill in Home Sweet Home: Online – four hits, and it’s lights out. But dying isn’t the end of the game, as you can be revived – or you can revive your teammates. In today’s guide, I will tell you how to do it.
To put it short, to revive someone, you’ll need to pick up their Soul Fragment from the spot they died before the timer runs out and bring it to a Revival Totem.
Sounds easy, but that’s not always the case. Let’s make sure you do it like a PRO!

How to Revive Teammates in Home Sweet Home: Online (Without Getting Yourself Killed)
When a teammate goes down, they leave behind a shiny little Soul Fragment where they died. It’s like a glowing “oops” moment waiting to be scooped up.
But you only have 180 seconds to pick it up, otherwise the dead teammate remains dead. This only happens after the first death.
To revive a teammate in Home Sweet Home Online, follow these steps:
- Find the Soul Fragment: Look for the yellow glow – it’s your downed teammate’s soul calling for help.
- Grab It and Go: Once you pick up the fragment, Revival Totem locations will magically appear on your map, highlighted in a white aura. You will see them through walls, and no other players will see the Soul Fragment anymore.
- Get to a Revival Totem: Navigate (or panic-sprint) to the nearest Totem.
- Revive your teammate: Hold the action button for five seconds at the Totem. Boom! Your teammate is back on half health, ready to die again. But if they do, they can’t be revived again. So you only get one more chance in the game!
Thankfully, you can drop a Soul Fragment once picked up if the killer is chasing you so that someone else can revive instead.
There is also a perk in the game that allows you to Self Resurrect, but it takes a lot of time (1:30 minutes) and it’s not worth waiting that much.
Revival Totems: The Game-Changer (Literally)
Revival Totems are strategically placed around the map, which sounds great until you realize that “strategically placed” often means “right where the killer loves to camp.”
Here’s a quick rundown of Totem do’s and don’ts:
- Do: Scout Totem locations early in the game so you’re not running blind later. This is optional, as you will see locations if you pick a Soul Fragment later on.
- Don’t: Use a Totem that’s close to the action. If the killer’s patrolling, find another one.
- Do: Coordinate with your team. If someone’s distracting the killer, you’ve got a safer window to revive.
Wrapping up
Okay, personal rant time. Compared to similar games (cough Dead by Daylight), reviving in Home Sweet Home: Online feels almost too forgiving. The timers are generous, Totems are visible through walls, and reviving takes just five seconds. It’s practically a walk in the park.
Don’t get me wrong, I love saving teammates (and being saved). But where’s the high-stakes drama? The nail-biting suspense? The screaming into your mic while your buddy fumbles the save? I’m all for accessibility, but a little more risk would make the reward feel sweeter.
