Hello Neighbor 2: How to Open the Safe? [Safe Code Guide]

During night 3, players are called to visit the museum and solve the puzzle there to get Quentin’s Camera.

However, to progress in the story, you’ll need to open the safe found in the museum’s study room.

Thankfully, the entire puzzle can be completed within the museum building and won’t take more than a few minutes.

In this guide, I will explain how to solve the museum puzzle in Hello Neighbor 2 and open the safe found in the study room.

Museum Safe Location in Hello Neighbor 2

Unlock this door to enter the study room at the museum.

The museum can be found simply by following the road until you find a huge dark brown sign which says ‘Sumeum’. Turn left there and follow the path until you find the Museum.

This should be done during the third night since you’ll have a key to open the study room with the safe. Enter the museum, take the left stairs up, and unlock the first door right in front of you.

After entering the room, ensure you’re not getting chased. If you are, hide in a corner of the room until he leaves. On the left side of the room, you’ll see the safe.

How to Find the Safe Code in Hello Neighbor 2

To get the code, players will have to repair the grandfather’s clock at the museum’s main hall by collecting three gears.

If you don’t care about actually solving the puzzle, you can skip directly to the last section and use the code immediately.

First Gear Location (Green Gear)

For the first gear, interact with the globe in the study room and it will start rotating around. Make it stop so that the ‘X’ mark will be at the point where the nearby statue’s finger is showing.

Second Gear Location (Blue Gear)

For the second gear, go to the study room in the museum and pick up the bird-shaped ornament on top of the desk.

Then, go down to the museum’s garage (door right of the staircase at the main lobby) and place that ornament on the red car’s hood. When the hood opens, you’ll see the blue gear.

Third Gear Location (Yellow Gear)

For the third gear, you’ll need to interact with the blue lamp found at the far wall of the study room in the museum.

Before entering the newly-opened room, pick up the weight from the cardboard box on your right.

Now place that weight on the pressure plate found on the ground right after entering the new room. Lastly, climb on top of the bed to pick up the last gear.

How to Solve the Puzzle and Open the Safe

With the three gears in your inventory, go to the museum’s main hall. On the right side of the stairs, find the grandfather’s clock and place the three gears there.

Wait for the clock to stop turning to find the safe code, which is 1135.

Now go back to the study room, insert the code in the safe and pick up Quentin’s Camera.
