Weapons are an essential part of Stalcraft, whether you’re out for a PvE mission or are hunting players in a PvP scenario.
In either case, you want to make sure your weapon is good enough to take down any enemy, presuming you have the aiming skills to back it up.
However, there’s a wide variety of weapons and ammo types available in the game and it can be hard to decide which one to use.

In this guide, I will list the best weapons in Stalcraft during the early, mid, and late game while also explaining what makes them so good.
1. Mosin
The Mosin is one of the best weapons available during the early and mid game, both for PvE and PvP. First, the 2x headshot multiplier means a headshot is almost always a kill.
Second, it has great range, allowing you to spot enemies before their proximity radar notices you. Also, it can a high chance of inflicting bleed, which allows you to pressure enemies significantly.
Lastly, the Mosin uses 7.62 ammo, which is very common and you’ll never run out.
The only setback is that it’s a bolt-action rifle, so hitting each shot is extra important.
2. SVT-40
The SVT is an upgrade over the Mosin once you can get it fully modded. It’s more of a mid/late-game option and it packs everything the Mosin has with two differences.
First, the SVT is a semi-automatic rifle, meaning it’s way more forgiving if you miss a shot. Second, it deals slightly less damage, which means it will require 2 headshots instead of one for a kill.
However, considering its increased fire rate over the Mosin, the lesser damage isn’t that big of a drawback and overall the gun is an upgrade.
3. M4A1
If you’re looking for something fully automatic, you can never go wrong with the M4A1. It combines a great rate of fire, solid damage, and can take down enemies even at medium range.
If you’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades weapon, the M4A1 is your best bet.
4. AS Val
For a late-game option, the AS Val is an upgrade over the M4A1. While it uses the more elusive 9×39 ammunition and has slightly lesser range compared to the M4A1, it has significantly higher damage and the same rate of fire.
This makes it extremely lethal for close-quarters encounters, to the point where it’s even better than most SMGs.
5. HK MP5K
Speaking of SMGs, they are one of the best ways for winning close-quarters fights. Especially the HK MP5K, which has an amazing fire rate of 900 rpm, is one of the best mid/late-game weapons in Stalcraft.
It has the highest fire rate in the game, solid damage, and quick reload to ensure you’ll never stop shooting.
