Replacing, rotating, or moving objects around in Coral Island is an important part of customizing your farm.
However, it isn’t exactly clear how to move objects in the game. Also, in some cases, objects can’t be rotated at all.
Also, if you’re interested in customizing everything, consider checking our guide on how to change clothes and hairstyles in the game.
In this guide, I will explain how to move, replace, and rotate objects in Coral Island to help players improve the looks of their farms.
How to Move Craftable Items
Craftable items include sprinklers, scarecrows, furnaces, and more. In short, anything that can be crafted via the menu and placed around the farm belongs in this category.

To move these items, simply hit them once with the pickaxe and they’ll break. After breaking them, you will be able to replace them. Then, select from your inventory the item they dropped and place it again.
As for rotating them, it’s not possible by pressing any button, unfortunately. However, there is a trick to rotating craftable items.
While having the item in your hotbar and being ready to place it, simply change the direction your character is facing towards. This way, you can make the placed item look up, down, left, or right.
How to Move Buildings
If you’re trying to move the chicken coop or the barn, the process isn’t as easy as it was for craftable items. Specifically, for buildings, players need to visit the carpenter. This is the case for animal buildings, as well as silos and mills.
Each time players want to move a building, it will cost 2.000 coins. Since this is fairly expensive, I recommend being extra careful before deciding on the location of each building.
After visiting the carpenter, interact with the shop, select ‘Edit Farm Buildings’, choose the building you want to move, and select ‘Move’ from the bottom line.
Then, you’ll get a move order in your inventory, which needs to be placed in the new location of the building.
How to Rotate Buildings
For those hoping to rotate the coop to make it easier to access or to fit better on their farm design, there is some bad news here.
Unfortunately, there is no option currently to rotate buildings in Coral Island. However, hopefully, rotating buildings will be introduced in future updates considering the game is in early access.
Conclusion
In short, that’s everything you need to know on how to move objects in Coral Island. For craftable items, simply break them and place them again. For buildings, visit the carpenter and get a move order.
