Meeting the Swamp Witch in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
While exploring the Dark Wood you will come across curded chests, and to gain the ability to open them you will need to talk to the Swamp Witch and ask.
If you haven’t already met her, you will need to progress the story enough until you reach a point where you can talk with her.
Once you enter her home, and talk with her you will be prompted with the option “We found a cursed item”. There will be some back and forth until she tells you to go and meet Seeker outside her home.
Once you find Seeker near the small swamp outside the Witch’s home. Once you find and talk with the Seeker you will need to pick again the “We found a cursed item” option.
After some back and forth she will hand you the item Seeker’s Instructions. The item gives you a rough idea of where she wants you to go and look.

Small Clearing Location in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
On the Seeker’s Instruction you will be given some vague directions on how to reach that clearing.
If you follow the mission it is to the east of the abandoned hunter’s camp. You will need to clear some rocks blocking your path with Antea’s radial blast which you get by defeating the first boss.
Once you clear the path you will walk to the clearing, and find a small cabin.
You will need to go inside the cabin and look at the table across the door, for the instructions on how to do the ritual.
What you need to do is find three wooden figures around the clearing that emanate a purple glow.
- Figure #1: The first figure is inside the cabin on the left of the door behind a wooden crate you need to break.
- Figure #2: Break the worn-down door on the left of the table to go out the back, and you will find it at the base of the tree.
- Figure #3: The last wooden figure is outside the hut, and across the cursed chest on top of a tree stump.
Once you collect all three wooden figures, go to the chest, press the button to start the Unbounding ritual, and get your rewards.
