The Adventure Abroad: Tokyo event in Apex Girl (previously known as Top Girl) is a cross-server, multi-week competition that combines city-building, PvE, and PvP over a Tokyo-themed map.
You’ll cooperate with players from your home server – no matter if you’re in the same Group or not – and race against other players from other servers for amazing rewards, landmarks like Tokyo Tower and the Grand Palace, and unlock limited SSR/UR artists such as Kokoro, Chizuru, Ayaka, Yuuko, Sora, Rimi, Mayumi, and Haruki.
Note: Recent Apex Girl patches added features like Tokyo Street and Truck Clash, and introduced attribute boosts for artists in the group Rina (Miyuki, Haruki, and Riku). I am including all the data from these patches in today’s updated guide.
Overview of Adventure Abroad – Tokyo

You can join this event if you have a CEO level of at least 30. When the event is active, you can travel from your regular city map into the Tokyo Adventure Abroad map using Air Tickets.
While there, any player from your home server is treated like an ally and you can’t attack each other – instead, you cooperate against other players from other servers/chambers.
These chambers are actually islands that Tokyo is split into, with each island basically representing a server. Also, each Chamber has a central Financial HQ, several Landmarks and toll passes into neighboring areas. Here’s what each of these new buildings does:
Financial HQ
- One Group can occupy the HQ of each island.
- The occupying Group can name the Chamber and benefits from increased Finance and influence.
Groups & sub-groups strategy: If you are coming from an active server where players talk and coordinate moves, you can easily split into multiple groups.
You will have a main group that occupies the Chamber HQ and the most important Landmarks, and sub-groups (at least a couple are needed, but the more, the better) will capture secondary Landmarks, toll passes leading to new areas and strategic chokepoints on the map, preventing enemies from entering.
Tokyo Street
In current Apex Girl builds, entering Tokyo also unlocks Tokyo Street, a themed area with additional structures and visuals connected to the Tokyo map, one that expands the gameplay of this limited event even further.
NOTE: While the event is active, you can always return to the regular map using Air Tickets, but each new trip will cost more, so plan ahead and be sure you have enough tickets left to return to Tokyo as you don’t want to be left out of the event itself and the amazing rewards it offers.
Warm-Up Event (Pre-Tokyo)
Before the full Tokyo map opens, there’s a 3-stage, 2-day Warm-Up Event. This is where you:
- Earn Air Tickets to access Tokyo
- Compete for a new girl – SSR Chizuru – through rankings
- Stockpile rewards and points to start the main event strong
This warm-up pre-event is divided into three stages, each of which focuses on different activities (development, innovation and promotion). Just like in all events in Apex Girl, you earn points by spending various resources or doing specific things.
Your main goal during the warm-up stage is reaching 8 million points to get a ton of Air Tickets, and also complete all personal rewards tiers (and increased chances at unlocking Chizuru, although she’s reserved for the true top players and might not be achievable if you are a free-to-play one.)
To better prepare for this, make sure to also read my Apex Girl Ultra Rare Girls Guide.
What to Save for Warm-Up
Important items to hoard:
- Gold Bars (1 point per Gold spent)
- Glass / Wood (500 / 2,000 points per use)
- Records (50,000 points)
- Vehicle parts & Vehicle Advance Drawings
- Asset Coins
- Girls Promote Cards (SR/SSR)
- Gifts for artists
Also, Stadium rallies are worth 40k points each.
Because points are tied to spending, you want to delay big upgrades until the Warm-Up stage that counts them.
Development Stage – Rewards
The Development stage focuses on materials like Glass/Wood, Blueprints, and HQ Cards. Here are the rewards (and requirements to get them):
| Goal | Reward |
|---|---|
| Earn 500k points | 100 Blueprint Points |
| Earn 2M points | 200 Blueprint Points, 200 SR Collection Gems |
| Earn 4M points | 300 Vehicle Upgrade Parts, 300 Blueprint Points, 300 SR Collection Gems, 1 Air Ticket |
| Earn 8M points | 1 Air Ticket, 500 SSR Collection Gems, 150 SSR Girls Promote Cards, 150 Vehicle Advance Drawings |
Innovation Stage
The Innovation stage focuses on Car Parts, Spark Plugs, Advance Drawings, and Interview/Demo items.
It uses the same 500k / 2M / 4M / 8M milestone structure. Exact rewards are similar in type (vehicle, gem, and ticket-focused), but may differ in quantity per milestone.
Promotion Stage
The Promotion stage focuses on Asset Coins, Promote Cards, Private Photos, and Collection Gems.
Again, you have the same milestone ladder:
- 500k points
- 2M points
- 4M points
- 8M points
Ranking & SSR Chizuru
To secure SSR Chizuru from the Warm-Up, you generally need to finish around Rank 25 or higher in Personal ranking.
Group Warm-Up rewards include Girls’ Resumes, Diamonds, and Blueprints, which help your entire group enter Tokyo more prepared.
Make sure to keep an eye on the Apex Girl wiki I have just updated, for even more details about the game and everything else you should know about it.
Tokyo – Main Event Guide

Once the Warm-Up ends and Tokyo officially opens, the fun is about to start. Now, you can join or rejoin a group and start coordinating with the group leaders to decide what Chamber to claim and other details.
Start pushing into the map ASAP by constructing Group buildings, occupying Landmarks and participating in Operations and side events. These are basically the main objectives in the game.
Journey Open
Journey Open is a 21-day progression track that runs alongside the Tokyo event. It’s basically a “season pass” specifically tied to this Adventure Abroad content. It includes a Free rewards track (for all players), as well as additional Premium one available as a bonus for an in-app purchase (~$19.99 USD).
You earn points for performing a plethora of activities on the Tokyo map. Here are some examples:
| Task | Points |
|---|---|
| Perform 1 time at the Concert | 20 |
| Launch & complete 1 rally at the Stadium | 60 |
| Earn 1.5k Gold Bars in the Hotel | 1 |
| For every 50 fans defeated (up to 100k points) | 1 |
| Every 10 Investment Funds used | 1 |
Because many of these tasks overlap with what you’d be doing anyway (rallies, performances, investments), you naturally progress through the Journey as you play, so being as active as possible will still give you plenty of points.
Calendar
The Calendar function shows a daily objective for each of the 21 event days. Your daily goal is usually reaching 21 points by completing specific tasks on the Tokyo map, while rewards are usually Diamonds and Investment Funds.
These daily objectives often sync with Tourist Route preferences or other systems, so do check the Calendar each day before you spend big resources.
Tourist Routes & Additional Investments
On the Routes page, you invest in a Tokyo subway-style network, complete with tourist stops. You spend Investment Points here to unlock new routes, as well as add new or upgrade existing stops.
There are 8 routes total and investing in them gives you permanent boosts in your girls’ main stats (Singing, Dance, Management).
Speaking of which, here is a full guide on how to unlock all girls in Apex Girl.
The strategy that works here is unlocking new stops and routes first, then working on upgrading existing ones.
Additional Investments
Besides Investment Funds, you can use “preferred items” for each route to push upgrades without draining your Funds. Here’s how each route works:
| Route | Additional Investments |
|---|---|
| G | Gold Bars and R Promotion Cards |
| M | Blueprint Points and SR Promotion Cards |
| H | HQ Cards and Vehicle Parts |
| T | Asset Coins and Vehicle Advance Drawings |
| C | R and SR Promotion Cards |
| Y | Blueprint Points and Gold Bars |
| Z | HQ Cards and Asset Coins |
| N | Vehicle Parts and Advance Drawings |
Photo Exchange
If you start running low on Investment Funds, you can convert surplus artists’ photos into Funds via the Photo Exchange.
You can exchange up to 50 photos per day. Each rarity has a different Fund value, as follows:
| Rarity | Value per Photo | Daily Fund Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Rare (R) | 50 | 2,500 |
| Super Rare (SR) | 100 | 5,000 |
| Special Super Rare | 200* | 10,000 |
* Zendaya’s photos are an exception: they are only worth 100 points each.
Exchanging the max every event day will consume a total of 1,050 photos.
But make sure that you only spend photos that you are 100% sure you no longer need (after you have fully leveled-up a girl, or if you are completely sure you don’t want to improve her further).
Unless you are in a very advanced stage, I would recommend spending Rare photos at most for this event – the SR and SSR ones are simply too valuable!
To learn which girls should be your main focus, I recommend reading my article sharing the Apex Girl tier list.
Mini-Events Overview
Tokyo comes with several overlapping mini-events. Two of the most important are:
- Beauty Slot Machine – for SSR Ayaka & SSR Yuuko
- Midnight Race – for SSR Sora
- Truck Clash – an additional Tokyo-tied mode
Let’s get in-depth with each of these main events!
Beauty Slot Machine
The Beauty Slot Machine runs twice during the Ultimate CEO period on the Tokyo map. It’s the main way to get SSR Ayaka and SSR Yuuko during this event cycle.
It appears on Day 4 of Ultimate CEO (Tokyo), and returns later for a second round. It’s directly tied to the Vehicle stage of Ultimate CEO.
Here’s how it works: you get 1 free spin per day, with additional spins costing 750 Diamonds each. After completing 15 spins, you can acquire both featured SSR girls.
A quick calculation gives us the following cost & points
- 15 paid spins (ignoring the free daily ones) cost 11,250 Diamonds.
- Each spin grants 37.5k points in the Vehicle stage.
- 15 spins total → 562,500 points for the event.
If you’re actively competing in Ultimate CEO rankings, Beauty Slot spins double as both character acquisition and high-value Vehicle points. But since the Diamond price is so high, I recommend taking advantage of all the free daily spins first to save some premium currency.
Midnight Race
Midnight Race is a board-game-style minigame that lets you earn progression rewards and unlock SSR Sora.
Similar to the Luck event in the regular part of the game, you roll dice to move around a board/track. Each movement generates Lap EXP. 100 Lap EXP completes 1 lap, which awards a Lap Reward, and then you start again.
Operations & Rewards
Operations are the long-term mission tracks that reward everything from Diamonds and Investment Funds to Promote Cards and upgrade materials. They’re split into:
- Personal Operations
- Group Operations
- Chamber Operations
At the end of Tokyo, these goals, combined with how many Landmarks you hold, determine a big part of your final payout.
Personal Operations
Personal Operations track your individual contribution during the event. They cover:
- Consecutive daily logins
- Time spent building Group buildings
- Number of Agent Gigs completed
- Performances in Izakaya
- Rallies at the Dome Stadium

- Gold Bars earned in Soapland

| Earn 200k Gold Bars in the Soapland | 500 Diamonds and 12,000 Gold Bars |

| Earn 600k Gold Bars in the Soapland | 3,000 Investment Funds and 30,000 Gold Bars |
As you can see, these really add up over time, so make sure to log in daily during the event, even if you don’t have time for anything else on a daily basis.
For best rewards, coordinate rallies and Izakaya performances with your group schedule and plan a few focused sessions where you burn stamina on Fans to hit the higher Fan kill milestones.
Finally, don’t ignore Soapland income, especially if you’re already upgrading those buildings.
