These Are ALL Google Games You Can Play Today (Easter Eggs)

It might come as a surprise to you, but Google has built a massive collection of games you can play for free, right from your browser. Some are full-featured classics, others are hidden Easter eggs, and most can be triggered with specific search terms.

I am here today to list all the Google Games you can play today in your browser, including the smaller “Google Doodle” games, but also some of the classics that they have removed for one reason or another, but which really mattered.

Keep in mind that, since Google likes to rotate experiments in and out, the list below is constantly changing – but I’m doing my best to keep it up to date and complete.

Past Google Games

There are many games that are no longer available, or only available if you search through the Google Doodles archives. The most notable ones include:

Google Zerg Rush

Originally triggered by: searching “zerg rush.”

Little “O”s from the Google logo swarmed down and began eating your search results.
You had to click rapidly to destroy each one before they wiped out the page. When the entire screen was cleared, the surviving swarm arranged themselves into the letters GG.

This was one of the most iconic Google Easter eggs ever created, but it was removed after a Search Update.

Atari Breakout (Google Images version)

Originally triggered by: searching “atari breakout” in Google Images.

The entire image grid transformed into a playable Breakout board. The images became bricks, and you bounced a ball off a paddle to clear them. Every time you finished a level, more images loaded.

This was launched for Atari’s 37th anniversary and later removed after an overhaul of Google Images. The 2025 release of the Block Breaker game mentioned above made fans happy.

Barrel Roll + Do a Barrel Roll 10/20/100 Times

Originally triggered by: searching “do a barrel roll” or “z or r twice.”

The page performed a full rotation. You could also type variations like “do a barrel roll 20 times” for extended spinning. Still partially works today, but the looping and extended rotation versions are gone.

Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man in Google Maps (2015 & 2017)

A now-legendary April Fools’ event where Google turned real streets into Pac-Man levels. You could pick a neighborhood, hit the Pac-Man icon, and instantly play a full arcade session across actual city blocks.

The original was a massive social media events, and it was followed two years later by the Ms Pac-Man, which dropped you into a random location for a one-off game, on mobile Maps.

Snake on Google Maps (2019)

Launched as part of the April Fools 2019 event. This was an 8-bit-style Snake game where you guided a train, bus, or tram across various cities (Cairo, London, São Paulo, Tokyo, etc.) collecting passengers.
