Eula is one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact and features a unique playstyle. If you want to try Eula as a main DPS in your team, you’re in the right place.
Eula is one of the most unique and complicated characters in Genshin Impact. Even after playing her for months, there are always new tricks to learn.
As for her position in the current meta, she ranks high amongst other DPS characters. Consider checking our Genshin Impact 3.0 character tier list for more details.
In this guide, I’ll showcase Eula best builds and weapons in Genshin Impact, list all level-up materials, and recommend which talents to upgrade first.
What are the Best Builds for Eula?

Eula’s role is a hyper-carry physical DPS. This means that her artifacts should maximize her physical damage and the overall damage of her basic and charged attacks.
Early Game Build
While you can make do with any artifact set that increases attack damage, one of the best early game options is the Martial Artist set.
It increases Eula’s normal and charged attack damage by a solid amount and provides her with necessary stats until you can farm for a better artifact set.
Keep in mind that as soon as you’re able to farm for a better set, you should go for it. Early game builds are only a temporary alternative, especially for main DPS characters. I heavily recommend you invest in Eula’s best artifacts as early as possible
Late Game Build
In her late-game build, Eula’s best set is the 4-piece Pale Flame. It gives her everything she needs in terms of Physical Damage while also buffing her attack.
Try and trigger the artifact’s 4-piece bonus in combination with your Elemental Burst for maximum damage.
A second option that is only slightly worse than 4p Pale Flame is 2p Pale Flame and 2p Bloodstained.
This combination gives Eula a flat 50% increased physical damage without having to care about activating any passives.
While it lacks the attack buff compared to the 4p Pale Flame, this combination is a solid second option for Eula.
As for artifact main stats, you want the following:
- Sands: Atk% or Energy Recharge
- Circlet: Crit Damage or Crit Rate
- Goblet: Physical Damage Bonus
Energy Recharge Sands should only be used if you can’t fulfill Eula’s energy requirements otherwise. Eula’s energy requirements are between 100 and 150, depending on the team.
In general, as long as you get some Energy Recharge substats on other artifacts, you should aim for Atk% sands.
As for the circlet, prioritize the stat you’re missing. Try and aim for a 70% Crit Rate and then focus on Crit Dmg.
Lastly, for substats, you want the following substats, listed in order of priority:
- Energy Recharge (until you can always use Elemental Burst off cooldown)
- Crit Rate (aim for 70%)
- Crit Dmg (as much as possible)
- Atk% (as much as possible)
Best Weapons for Eula
Eula has many options in term of weapons. There are various 5-star and 4-star options to choose from, depending on which one you have.
Best 5-star: Wolf’s Gravestone / Song of Broken Pines
Wolf’s Gravestone is Eula best weapon with the Song of Broken Pines being a close second. Having either of these puts Eula in an amazing spot in terms of potential DPS.
Keep in mind that going for either of these weapons means you’ll have to prioritize Crit Rate/Crit Dmg substats on your artifacts.
Also, while Wolf’s Gravestone can end up dealing slightly more damage overall, Song of Broken Pines is easier and more consistent to activate. In general, try and optimize your rotations around their passives.
Best 4-star: R5 Serprent’s Spine
An amazing 4-star weapon choice for Eula is the battle pass weapon Seprent’s Spine.
The Crit Rate stat makes building Eula easier, while its passive is easy to activate as long as Eula stays on the field for a few seconds before using her burst combo.
While this isn’t a free-to-play weapon and can only be gained by purchasing the Battle Pass, getting it is guaranteed and isn’t based on luck.
Best Free-to-Play: R5 Prototype Archaic / R5 Luxurious Sea-Lord
The best free-to-play weapon for Eula is the Prototype Archaic. It can be crafted in any forge and should be refined to max level.
It provides Eula with some solid Attack stats overall and a useful passive that doesn’t require any effort to activate.
Another great free option is the Luxurious Sea-Lord. This was only obtainable during a past event but might make a return during Eula’s rerun.
How do I Level Up Eula?
Eula’s requirements for level 90 are fairly standard: books, mora, boss drops, fragments, monster drops, and gatherables.
Also, Eula is the only character in Genshin Impact at the moment that requires Crystalline Blooms, which are dropped by Cryo Hypostasis. Since you’ll need to farm this boss a lot, consider checking our Cryo Hypostasis boss guide in Genshin Impact.
The exact materials that Eula needs to get from level 1 to 90, according to Genshin Impact’s official ascension planner, are the following:
- 419 Hero’s Wit
- 2.1M Mora
- 18 Damaged Masks
- 30 Stained Masks
- 36 Ominous Masks
- 168 Dandelion Seeds
- 46 Crystalline Blooms
- 1 Shivada Jade Silver
- 9 Shivada Jade Fragments
- 9 Shivada Jade Chunks
- 6 Shivada Jade Gemstones
What Talents do I Level Up for Eula?
As a hyper-burst carry, Eula should level her talents in the following order:
Elemental Burst > Normal Attacks > Elemental Skill
As a hyper-burst character, I highly recommend investing as much as you can in Eula. This means crowning as many of her talents as possible, especially the Elemental Burst.
As for the exact cost, the materials need to level-up one of Eula’s talents from 1 to 10 are the following:
- 1.7M Mora
- 6 Damaged Masks
- 22 Stained Masks
- 31 Ominous Masks
- 3 Teachings of Resistance (Available Tuesday/Friday)
- 21 Guide to Resistance
- 38 Philosophies of Resistance
- 6 Dragon Lord’s Crown (Azhdaha Boss Drops)
- 1 Crown of Insight
Conclusion
In short, Eula is a hyper-burst, physical DPS character in Genshin Impact that rewards high investment. Leveling her to 90, maxing her main talents, and farming for her best weapons pays off in terms of damage.
