Are you trying to decide on the best scav case option in Escape From Tarkov? Let’s go through all the choices and what loot to expect.
In short, if you only care about roubles and making a profit, the 95k is the best scav case in Tarkov. If you want quest items, meds, and equipment, go for Moonshine, while Intelligence Folder is great for keys and other high-value items.
Let’s go through all the options in turn to help you make a decision.
Best Scav Case in EFT
In short, the best scav case in EFT depends on what you want to get from it. If you don’t want any specific items for quests and don’t want to gamble much, the 95k is your best option.
It has a chance to drop any item in the game and will almost always drop you enough items to get the 95k back.
In most cases, the items you’ll get will grant you a profit, while there’s also a small chance to get high-value items. The best drop I’ve gotten so far is a military tank battery, which is needed for the Regulated Materials quest from Prapor.
Other players have been lucky enough to get a Taiga and a GPU, from the same case!
However, the Intelligence and the Moonshine options are worth considering, so let’s go through them in turn.

Is Moonshine Worth It?
If you care to make a profit, the Moonshine is not your best option. If you just spam Moonshine with standard luck, you will lose money overall.
However, the Moonshine scav case in Tarkov is your best bet if you want to get found-in-raid stims for Samples. There’s a solid chance to get items like AHF1-M, 3-(b-TG), and M.U.L.E., all of which are needed for the quest Samples.
Additionally, Moonshine has the highest chance (which is still very small) of granting you the notorious LEDX, which is needed to complete the Therapist’s Private Clinic quest. Lastly, I’ve managed to get a few class-6 armors like Hexgrinds from Moonshine.
Just keep in mind that even if you get a LEDX or a rare drop, it will only be a rare occasion, and in most other cases, you will lose money overall. As a result, I recommend Moonshine only if you’re looking for specific high-value items.
Is Intelligence Worth It?
The Intelligence Folder scav case has the highest chance of dropping keys, military/info items, and weapons. Keys are especially expensive in the early wipe, and most of them fall off later, so Intelligence isn’t the best choice.
However, you have the highest chance of getting the Dorms Marked Key compared to other scav case options, as well as info items like COFDM, Virtex, VPX, and Flash Drives.
Overall, if you can manage to get your Scav Case within the first few weeks of wipe, spamming Intelligence can be profitable since most keys are expensive early on.
However, as the wipe progresses, I recommend opting for Moonshine instead of Intelligence for high-value items or for 95k if you just care about roubles.
What About the Other Options?
The remaining two options (2,5k and 15k) are low-tier alternatives to the 95k. They drop fewer items overall, and thus, there’s no reason to prefer them over 95k.
As a result, I recommend skipping them completely and only opting for the other three options based on what you’re looking for.
Wrapping up
To summarize, the best scav case in Escape From Tarkov is the 95k option since you will almost always break even and, most times, even make a profit.
However, the Moonshine choice is great if you want high-value medical items, and Intelligence is amazing if you want keys. Just don’t expect to make an overall profit from these cases since, in most scenarios, you’ll be losing money.
