Let’s explain how mysteries work and how to solve these four puzzles.

Islands of Insight Mysteries Explained

How to solve Two for Two, Under the Surface, Smallest of Three, and Face of Stone in Islands of Insight.

Mysteries are end-game puzzles unlocked after finishing the main quest of each Enclave. Access the area near Lucent Water’s fast-travel waypoint, and you’ll see multiple pedestals there. Each pedestal corresponds to a puzzle.

After solving 5/10/15 mysteries, you’ll gain access to the central/bottom/top area of the Vault of Vitric. In total, there are 21 puzzles, and you don’t have to solve all of them.

This guide will focus on Smallest of Three, Under the Surface, Two of Two, and Face of Stone, which are puzzles 7-10.

Smallest of Three

Head to the Symbolic Duality Trial in Verdant Glen and interact with the smallest logic box that’s on top of the roof above you.

To solve it, each number must be linked to tiles of the same color corresponding to that number +2. Thus, number 1 must be linked to 1+2 white tiles. Similarly, number number will need to be linked with ten white tiles, including the one the number is on.

To make it easier, here’s the solution:

Under the Surface

Head to the One Way Elevator Trial in Vedant Glen and go south to the hole to find the logic box.

To solve this, connect all dark cells, make sure each numbered cell is linked to cells of the same color corresponding to that number, and avoid making a reverse T-shape with white cells.

Here’s the exact solution:

Two for Two

Head to the Cornered Numbers Trial in Lucent Waters and follow the river upwards. Next to the aqueduct, you’ll find a puzzle box with three circles.

To solve this, connect all white cells without making a black square pattern and a white 4-tile horizontal line pattern.

To help you exactly, here’s the solution:

Face of Stone

Lastly, head to the Lucent Waters fast-travel and go underneath. There, you’ll locate a 3-difficulty orb, which is the puzzle.

To solve this, connect all white cells without making a white or black 4-tile horizontal line pattern.

Here’s the exact solution:
