How to Unlock the Bounty Hunter in Darkest Dungeon 2
Similar to other Heroes, players can unlock the Bounty Hunter in Darkest Dungeon 2 via the Altar of Hope.
The Altar of Hope can be found in the first place after The Crossroads and requires spending Candles of Hope to unlock various upgrades.
From there, players can unlock the Bounty Hunter.
However, even after unlocking the Bounty Hunter, players won’t be able to select him when starting a run as he won’t be in the starting Hero list. Instead, they will also need to hire him.
How to Hire the Bounty Hunter in Darkest Dungeon 2
After unlocking the Bounty Hunter, you’ll need to hire him to be able to add him to your party.
To hire the Bounty Hunter, visit the Inn during your run and you’ll be able to add him in your party.
Keep in mind that the Bounty Hunter won’t be available at every Inn, so you need to keep checking every time you visit one to find this elusive character.
If he’s there, you’ll be able to click on the poster and see the terms of his contract. The Bounty Hunter will then join your party and replace one of your Heroes until the end of the Chapter.
The best part is that the Bounty Hunter’s skills will be pre-mastered. This makes him one of the best early-game Heroes to have in Darkest Dungeon 2.
Bounty Hunter Playstyle
The Bounty Hunter focuses on debuffing enemies and helping your party take them down faster.
Due to that, he’s an ideal option against tougher foes and bosses, especially when combined with a strong DPS character.
Additionally, he has solid melee damage, so he can finish fights on his own when needed.
