Even with the absence of Ultra Beasts, Beast Balls are still a thing in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and it is beautiful!
Beast balls are elegant-looking Pokéballs that you can choose to display in your Pokémon Home app or just have it in your Pokéballs collection for the sake of it!
How do you get your hands on the beast balls in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, though? Let’s find out!
Where to Get Beast Balls in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
You’ll be rewarded with the Beast Ball in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet once you’ve completed the entire Pokédex in the game! Your Pokédex will be completed once you’ve successfully caught 400 species of Pokémon.

It’s a huge feat in the game and it’s adequately rewarding as well, consisting of the Beast Ball and a Shiny Charm. Up until now, this is the only way you can earn the Beast Ball in the game.
Once you’ve caught the last of your Pokémon for the Pokédex, update your Pokédex and complete it.
You can do so in the Biology Lab, upon which a congratulatory message from your homeroom teacher, Jacq, will come up in the screen.
At the end of the message, you’ll be rewarded with a Beast Ball! Along with that, you’ll be asked to visit Jacq, where you’ll earn the Shiny Charm as well.
The Beast Ball doesn’t have much of a use in the game since the game doesn’t have Ultra Beasts anymore. It does serve the purpose of nostalgia and variety in your Pokéball collection.
There are still more Pokémon out there that you can catch, but the odds of catching a normal Pokémon with a Beast Ball is quite low. Beast Balls are specialized for Ultra Beasts only.
Wrapping Up
Unlike the peanut butter and other food items in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to put some effort and grind hard enough to complete the Pokédex in order to obtain the Beast Ball.
It’ll probably take some time, surely, but there are no other alternatives to getting the Beast Balls, since these have no utility in the game anyway. However, I’d say it’s definitely worth the time and effort put in!
