Undawn is a free-to-play open-world survival RPG. As an online game, it has a thriving multiplayer community both for online PvP, and Co-op. Still, a cruel world filled with infected can always be better with a couple of friends backing you along the way.
In this guide, I will showcase how to leave a camp or team, and how to create one of your own, in Undawn. Friends will always need a please to crash, and having one to share with others while playing can provide extremely worth it.
Speaking with Jason will streamline the process for you, by allowing you to create your own, or you can go the other route and create one of your own through the menus.
Joining another player’s camp if you don’t like the hustle, is easy to do. Go to the Camp menu and hit Apply. Depending on their process you will either have to wait to be able to join, or simply walk right in.
When it comes to leaving the process is just as simple. At the bottom of the member list, you will find the leave camp option. Easy as pie.

Undawn: How to Join or Create a Camp/Team
In order to either join or create a camp, you will need to reach level 10. You will accumulate EXP as you progress through the main missions, and you should have reached that level around the time you complete your homestead.
Camps are teams of players from all around the world, working towards a common goal. They allow you to further develop your character, and build resources with others all aiming toward the goal of survival.
Going into the menu, you will be prompted by the game to go into the camp list screen. There you can either choose to Apply or Create a camp of your own.
In order to join a camp, find a camp from the list with available space, and hit apply. There are two ways this can go down.
- The Camp can have an auto-join application process which will allow you to enter without waiting, and be welcomed. You can go into the chat, talk to other members and see how you can help each other out.
- Some camps though have it set, so you will have to wait for your application to be approved before you enter. Most have some personal requirements before letting you in. It can either have to do something with daily activity or player engagement ingame.
When it comes to Creating your own camp you’ll have the option to enter your camp name, camp declaration, and language, as well as design your own emblem for your camp.
Unfortunately, unlike joining another player’s camp, there is a cost to creating your own camp. A base cost of 5000 silver, plus the amount of silver for the recruitment period. The cost is entirely dependent on how long you want your recruitment period to be.
- 12 hours for 1000 silver
- 24 hours for 2000 silver
- 48 hours for 4000 silver
If you fail to recruit enough members the silver will be returned to you via in-game mail.
Undawn: How to Leave a Camp/Team
Sometimes due to bad management or some bad attitude from other players, you may feel the need to leave a camp.
Thankfully this is a really easy thing to do, and it comes with no repercussions for players who want to leave.
All you have to do is follow these easy steps.
- Open the menu
- Go into the member list screen in your Camp
- Look at the bottom left
- Hit “Leave Camp”
Once you do all these steps, you are free and clear to either join a different camp or create your own.
