Investigator Role Guide – Ability Explained

The investigator can choose to investigate another player’s house in search of evidence. This way, he can find out if that player attacked someone else that night.
If that player attacked someone that night, you will see blood. However, if they attacked only on the previous night, you won’t see anything.
Also, keep in mind that some roles can mess with the Investigator’s judgment.
Specifically, the Enchanter can cause you to see incriminating evidence, even if the searched player hasn’t killed anyone.
Similarly, the Illusionist can cause you to NOT see any evidence, even if the searched player actually killed someone.
Best Investigator Strategy in Town of Salem 2
The Investigator plays a key role in winning in Town of Salem 2. Due to that, it’s important to utilize the best strategy possible.
Overall, you should avoid exposing that you’re the Investigator, as it will put a target on your back. The only case where you should expose it is when there are Town Protectives in the game that can protect you. Working together with them will be extremely helpful.
As for who to investigate at first, try and focus on players who claim suspicious roles, such as Executioner or Jester.
Lastly, your goal is to work with other Townies to hang every criminal an enemy to the Town people, including the Coven and the Neutral alignment people.
