Are you interested in getting the storage expansion in Supermarket Simulator and want to know if it’s worth it? Here’s what you must know.
In short, at the moment, the storage expansion isn’t worth it. It adds a room next to your store where you can leave items, but there’s no reason to make the extra trip and leave them there instead of leaving them in your store (which is also more convenient).
Let’s explain this in further detail.
How to Upgrade Storage
To upgrade your storage, access the PC and head to the Management tab. From there, there’s a Storage tab.
It costs $1000 to upgrade storage, and it’s a one-time purchase. There is only one storage purchase, and, at the moment, it can’t be upgraded further.
Once purchased, the small building next to your store will become accessible, and you’ll be able to store items there. But is it worth it?

Is the Storage Upgrade Worth it in Supermarket Simulator?
In short, the storage upgrade in Supermarket Simulator isn’t worth it. There are no reasons currently to store items in a different area since customers won’t complain about you having storage containers in your store.
Also, having storage containers in your store makes it easier and faster to restock everything once it sells out.
Specifically, I recommend simply leaving all your storage containers right in front of the shelves in your store. While it will look messy, customers won’t complain, and you’ll be able to restock everything quickly.
Thus, even after unlocking the storage space, you won’t use it at all since there’s no reason to. The only exception is if you really want everything to look clean and organized, in which case the storage upgrade has a cosmetic purpose.
However, on a practical scale, it’s simply not worth it; even if it were free, it wouldn’t be worth getting. Maybe it will become more useful in a future update.
Wrapping up
To summarize, the storage upgrade in Supermarket Simulator isn’t worth it since it’s easier and more efficient to place all excess items in your store.
Customers won’t complain, and you’ll be able to restock everything quickly instead of having to run back and forth to the storage place next to your store.
