Sengoku Dynasty: How to Unlock Mining

Are you looking to get your hands on iron ore and your first pickaxe? Let’s see how to unlock mining and get iron ore in Sengoku Dynasty.

Getting started with a Stone Pickaxe can be tricky as you won’t be able to mine most ore deposits. However, there is a way to mine some of them in the early game.

In this guide, I will explain how to get iron ore and unlock mining outposts in Sengoku Dynasty, to help you get started.

How to Get Iron Ore

To get and mine Iron Ore in Sengoku Dynasty, navigate to the mine close to Iwasaki. The entrance to the mine can be found just under a rocky hill and it’s easy to spot as it’s lit by lanterns.

In the mine, use your stone pickaxe to mine the small ore deposits. Once you mine enough and upgrade to an iron pickaxe, you’ll be able to mine the medium ore deposits.

Specifically, you’ll need 15 Iron Ore to get the Iron Pickaxe, which can be obtained easily by mining the small ore deposits.

As for the large ones, you’ll need to equip the Steel Pickaxe first, which is unlocked later in the game.

To unlock the Mining Outpost in Sengoku Dynasty, you need to reach Dynasty level 7 and then speak with the Abbot.

If you’ve reached this level and still can’t unlock it, it’s a bug. Some players have mentioned reaching up to Dynasty Level 14 and still not getting it after speaking to everyone at Iwasaki.

Unfortunately, if you get this bug, there’s not much you can do. The only solution here is to wait until the developers fix it.

Wrapping up

To summarize, players can unlock the mining outpost in Sengoku Dynasty after reaching Dynasty level 7 and speaking with the Abbot.

As for pickaxe mining, they are able to mine iron ore at the mine in Iwasaki with the stone pickaxe, as long as they’re targeting the small ore deposits.

  1. Bugged. Level 16 dynasty. I came here to find out how to unlock it. ,,,sigh… I’ve done the big project around the mining already, but it doesn’t actually do anything.

The game is janky as hell, but does show potential. (Makes Medieval Dynasty look like a polished gem, and it definitely isn’t) Another bug I have trouble with is that crouching or running stop working sporadically. I have to change binding and change back to fix it.

And a couple other critical things: (1) I have tons of points to spend on things but there is nothing to spend them on. It would have been easy to just give each option multiple levels. Silly.

    (2) The current game progression–my bug notwithstanding–is an utter disaster.

But, the thing that may actually drive me away from the game appears to be a feature not a bug. When you move something in the inventory, it moves the entire inventory panel so that the item you selected is the middle row, no matter where the initial point actually was. This makes moving things confusing, and much harder than it need be. It drives me absolute bonkers. The person who thought this was a good idea needs their head examined.

    • I see where you’re coming from. The game definitely has a lot of potential but the current bugs make it a bit hard to enjoy. Let’s hope the devs fix them soon!
As for the inventory thing, I agree that it’s irritating. Even if it’s a feature and not a bug, it can still be changed. But I don’t expect it to be a priority, so it will probably take a while.
