Persona 5 Royal Okumura Boss Is NOT Impossible (How to Beat Guide)

In Persona 5 you will see a lot of enemies and bosses that you will think are impossible to defeat. Well, to your surprise every boss can be defeated when following the right guide.

Stay tuned to learn how to take down the Okumura Boss.

Okumura is a boss that will literally test your nerves and patience. You might be throwing everything you got at him and still fail in the end.

You will need to follow just a couple of basic tricks in order to make him vulnerable and defeat him.

In this guide, I will be showing you those tips and tricks and giving you a complete guide on how to beat Okumura Boss. Let’s get started.

Stage 1

The first group of workers are very easy to kill because they are weak to fire and wind and can be killed with a single attack that hits them multiple times. No problems here.

Stage 2

Things aren’t going to get much worse in this phase either. The second phase can’t handle ice or psi well. Just use Haru or Joker to take them out.

Either one works well. Because these guys have so little health, it doesn’t matter what moves you use on them. They won’t have any trouble going down.

Stage 3

Makoto or Ryuji should be your go-to. The third phase is weak to nuclear and electric weapons and is a bit harder.

They aren’t a big problem and can be defeated without these two, but it’s best to get rid of them quickly so you don’t waste time and SP chipping away at their health with attacks that don’t hit their weakness.

Use these moves, too, if Joker has a nuke or an electric persona.

On Morgana’s turn, it’s worth trying Miracle Punch to get a critical hit so you can baton pass to Makoto or Ryuji, hit them with another attack, and finish them off.

When they are almost dead is also a good time to get stronger, because the hardest parts of the fight are about to start. If you can, use items or moves to boost your attack.

Stage 4

Morgana is here because they are weak to wind (and bless). Don’t cast Magarula when it’s his turn.

Hit the first three with Garula one at a time, and when only one is still standing, use Magarula.

This way, three out of four are hit twice, even though it costs more SP. Once they’re all down, pass the baton to Joker to give him more power.

He can then use a stronger Magarula of his own to hit them all again and take away a lot of their health. On Joker’s turn, you can use another Magarula since they’re all already down.

You can do it the other way around if it goes wrong too.

You have a full turn left, so depending on how much health they still have, you can either do the same thing again or use a move that hits multiple times to finish them off and save SP.

If you have wind items, you can get the baton pass to its maximum power by using one with Makoto/Ryuji, then having Haru throw another.

Then use Garula with Morgana, and finally get a zero-cost, fully powered Magarula from Joker, followed by another.

Stage 5

They are weak against psi and curse, so in addition to Haru’s psi, Joker needs to be able to use single-hit and multi-hit attacks of one of these elements.

The same basic plan should be used. If you can build a fully-powered baton pass, which you can only do with psi or curse items, this can give you a big advantage.

If you don’t have them, Haru and Joker’s turns do the most damage. Again, you may want to cast Mapsio right away, but you should cast Psio instead.

Hit the first three one at a time, and then end with Mapsio. Again, this means that three of the four have been hit twice.

If Joker can use psi, it makes sense to pass the baton from Haru to Joker, or vice versa, so that they both have a little more power. If you have psi though, this is what you should do.

With you Makoto/Ryuji you should throw a Psycho bomb, pass the baton to Morgana, throw another Psycho bomb, pass the baton to Haru, and use Psio on the third enemy.

Then pass the baton to Joker, use a fully charged Mapsio on them all, which knocks them all down, and then use another Mapsio on Joker’s bonus move.

With Joker you will use Mapsio on all of them since they’re already down.

For Haru, you will make Mapsio on all of them, since they’re already down.”

Morgana can use an item to make Joker, Haru, or the whole party attack more, or she can heal HP/SP if she needs to.

Another possibility is that if Joker has the card “Concentrate” for one of his personas, he should use it on his turn and pass the baton to Haru after each of the other personas has been knocked out.

Then Joker will send out a very powerful Mapsio, which should finish them off.

Stage 6

Keep getting healed, improve your attack and defense as needed, and just hit him with your strongest moves.

He doesn’t have a weakness, so you can’t use anything special against him besides forget and technical attacks if you can.

The only thing you need to watch out for is his Big Bang Order, which you’ll see coming to a turn early when he charges up.

This is a strong attack that can kill you if you don’t have a lot of health. When it’s coming, don’t attack.

Instead, heal, boost defense, lower the director’s attack, and guard Joker if his health isn’t over 300. It’s a slow part of the battle, but it’s not too hard if you just do it over and over again.

Stage 7

Instead of trying to beat her, because she will explode, it would be better to heal and make sure you can handle the explosion. You will have two full turns to get in order.

Use moves that heal on your first turn, and then guard on your second. If you want more peace of mind, you can boost your defense, but there’s no need to.

As long as your party has about half health, they should be fine.

Phase 8

He has pathetically low health and is easy to kill. The only thing I’ll say is that if the timer is getting close to zero, just skip the dialogue and use Rush to kill him as quickly as possible.

Conclusion

That’s everything that you need to know about beating the Okamura Boss. You will feel as if you are a god when the final battle cutscene will start playing.

It is a heck of a boss to beat but as you see he has his weaknesses too. If you still cannot beat him even with this guide, simply lower the difficulty level.

You can put it to the minimum and lowest possible difficulty and he will and his companions will go down in just a couple of hits.

I hope that this guide has helped you out in defeating the Okamura Boss in Persona 5! Have fun and good luck!
