Since this is end-game content, make sure you’ve mastered some of the core game mechanics first such as how to reduce Psychosis in Outlast Trials.
How to Get Release and Freedom Tokens in The Outlast Trials
To get Release Tokens in the Outlast Trials, you first need to complete all trials in Programs 1, 2, and 3. Then, you’ll unlock the season-exclusive Program X.
Program X is split into ten trials, and completing each of them awards one Release Token.
To complete the game and escape the facility, you will need to collect all 10 tokens from Program X trials.
Therefore, players must complete all trials within Program X if they want to get all Release Tokens and finish Outlast Trials.
Keep in mind that Program X has some of the hardest trials in the game and beating it won’t be easy. Make sure to come prepared and have patience as you’ll probably have to retry it multiple times.
One of the best tips for beating Program X is to play and coordinate with your friends. If you’re not aware of how to play co-op, check out our guide on how to play multiplayer in The Outlast Trials.
How to Use Release and Freedom Tokens
After completing all 10 trials in Program X, you will have 10 Release/Freedom Tokens. To use these, visit the reception in the Sleep Room and talk with the receptionist.
Then, you will need to complete one final trial called “Farewell Mission”. This will be similar to the first mission you played in The Outlast Trials but with more enemies and increased difficulty.
Completing this trial will allow you to become Reborn, which is the prestige system in The Outlast Trials.
To sum up this Outlast Trials guide, to get Release/Freedom Tokens, players will need to complete trials from Program X.
After completing all 10 trials, they will get 10 tokens that can be used to access the final trial and complete the game.
