The main difference between the two consoles is the release date. Specifically, PS5 players will be able to access the game on February 10, 2023, while PS4 players can play starting April 4, 2023.

Additionally, PS5 players can get early access by purchasing the Deluxe edition and start playing from February 7, 2023.

The difference between the two consoles on release dates is almost two months apart, which is a long time, especially if you’re really hyped about the game.

When players pre-order Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 or PS5, they will unlock the pre-order exclusive Felix Felicis Potion Recipe and the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest.

These can only be accessed by PlayStation players and only if they pre-order the game. This works both for the Deluxe and the Standard Editions.

Hogwarts Legacy has a different cost based on your console of choice. Specifically, on PlayStation 5, the Standard edition costs $69.99, while on PlayStation 4 it will cost $59.99.

While not huge, it’s still a $10 difference.

The main difference is going to be performance and graphics. On PlayStation 5, the game runs smoothly in performance mode and is able to maintain 60 FPS on all activities.

As for PlayStation 4, we can only wait and hope as we get closer to its release. While it won’t be as good as PS5, we are hoping PS4 won’t have any FPS drops or stutters.
