The wait is nearly over for Bleach fans. Crunchyroll and A PLUS JAPAN are teaming up to launch Bleach: Soul Resonance, a new action-RPG based on the legendary anime series.

The game is set to release worldwide (except Asia) later this year, with pre-registration now open on both the App Store and Google Play.

Following in the footsteps of hits like Naruto: Slugfest and One Piece Bounty Rush, Bleach: Soul Resonance aims to deliver a faithful, story-driven experience that dives straight into the heart of the Soul Society.

Players will step into Ichigo Kurosaki’s world, unleash their Bankai, and fight alongside iconic characters from the anime, Zanpakuto in hand.

According to the developers, Soul Resonance focuses on high-intensity, “blade-clashing” combat designed to mimic the speed and impact of Bleach’s legendary battles.

Players can switch seamlessly between characters mid-fight to pull off multi-character combos and synergistic attacks. It’s a system that sounds like a mix between Genshin Impact’s fluid party switching and the flashiness of Bleach: Brave Souls – but with more tactile, real-time control.

Crunchyroll is clearly betting big on Bleach in 2025. The launch of Bleach: Soul Resonance comes right as the platform expands its manga offerings – October 9 marked the web debut of Crunchyroll Manga, a premium, ad-free experience featuring fan favorites like Bleach.

As for the game’s gacha mechanics, Soul Resonance promises a generous start with an “80-draw guarantee” for obtaining favorite characters. Details on monetization and gameplay balance remain under wraps, but the promise of assembling the full cast of Soul Reapers will likely be enough to hook die-hard fans.
