There’s something fun about throwing anime heroes on the map to stop hordes of enemies… but if you do this randomly, you will soon realize that it won’t work. This is when my tier list comes into play.
I am listing the absolute best Anime Crusaders characters below and ranking them into tiers based on how useful they are, so you can better prepare your team setup.
After all, you only have six slots to build the perfect defense, and so many characters to choose from. Let’s not waste a single second then, and jump right into the Roblox Anime Crusaders Tier List (updated to reflect the latest meta).
S-Tier: The Heavy Artillery
These are the absolute best units in the entire game. Difficult to get, of course, as we’re talking about Secret and Mythic units, but if you manage to get even one of these, it deserves a permanent slot in your team.
- Puci (Made in Heaven): He carries a time acceleration ability that trims cooldowns by 2%. I feel like my entire team attacks at warp speed with him on the board, and that buff compounds across a long wave, making him even better.
- Beyond Heaven: This unit handles crowd control and deals extra damage with a reduced cooldown, but it acts as a one-time placement per match.
- Seraph: Arguably the cleanest all-round pick in the tier. He packs one of the best DPS and range values in the game, plus a nearby-unit damage boost. The deployment cost is high, but the output justifies it.
- Sun God vs Dragon: This duo has a very specific placement mechanic. You actually need both units in your inventory to place them on the board. The massive area-of-effect physical damage tradeoff is worth the hassle though.
- Jootaru: A magic and dark trait beast packing amazing damage, attack speed, and range while applying a yummy bleed effect.
- Igrith (Blood Commander): Provides a massive, full team damage buff. The catch is that maximizing Igrith requires a large money investment.
- Sun Woo (System): A powerhouse who synergizes perfectly with Igrith to completely overwhelm enemy lanes.
- Goko (Perfected Super 3): He holds down the Hill placement better than anyone else, easily clearing the airspace. He brings massive DPS and is the best Hill unit for the late-game grind, though he demands one of the largest currency investments in the roster.
- Slime (Demon Lord): The damage output and range are massive, and he actively scales his DPS upward over time. This makes him better the longer a wave runs. Pair him with units that can stall or slow enemies and the damage output becomes OP.
- Shadow (Atomic): Delivers massive raw damage with a low attack speed cooldown and halts waves in their tracks with stuns.
- Kurimi: A true fire hybrid that has the ability to spawn clones and stun enemies, though her direct damage output is surprisingly low.
- Esdead: An all-rounder ground physical unit that can act as a support buffing nearby units. However, you will need units with Ice traits to bring out all of her passive abilities.
- Enol (Drums): He can support the whole team by buffing damage, but his personal DPS is low, making him weak as an individual fighter.
- Getu (Master of Curses): Brings a massive range of attacks and can support other units in the team, though his damage output is not that great compared to other units in this tier.
- Brulo (Rage)
- Akuzo vs Renkuro
- Dracula

A-Tier Units
The reality is that you will most likely use more A-Tier units because of the pull mechanics. These are still very good, so let’s check them out below.
- Bones: The most interesting unit in this tier. Every kill he records increases his own damage, meaning he gets scarier the longer a wave lasts. The short range is the main limitation, so placement near choke points is a must.
- Shunks (Haki): Delivers immense raw DPS.
- Boo (Ultimate): Brings a very cool mid-battle transformation mechanic for flexibility across different scenarios, though the transformation gimmick has a bit of a learning curve.
- Goju (Supreme): Provides highly reliable stuns for crowd control and boasts huge base stats. I should warn you, though: his attack speed is quite long, and he costs a small fortune to upgrade.
- Haein (Sword Queen): If you just want consistent, no-nonsense damage, Haein is a good, stable pick. She manages to keep a steady DPS throughout the battle, though she has an average range and lacks any special abilities.
- Toju (Mercenary): When you run into high-HP enemies, Toju’s abilities can turn the tides around.
- Fat Hitman (Serious), Shaoten (Dizzy), and Rain: Solid alternatives if you miss the other high-tier pulls.

B-Tier
These characters can be good in specific situations or if you don’t have better ones to fill up your slots.
- Speedcart: He has near-zero DPS and cannot attack enemies directly, but is great early on for building the economy.
- Heisou (Bird Sniper): Sits up on the Hill placement and relies entirely on a critical hit chance to take down targets. He has solid base damage.
- Chonin (Flame Master): Another Hill unit that excels at applying burning damage to enemy mobs. He suffers against faster enemies due to his high attack speed cooldown.
- Ant King (Shadow Fang): A ground physical lightning unit. His shadow-based attacks can bypass enemy defenses completely.
- AI (Idol): Exists purely for team buffs.
- Ichi (Dusk)
- Ryoma
- Hie (Black Dragon)
- GreyBeard
- Ukia
- Koichy

C-Tier Units
These are early game units at best, and you should replace them ASAP with better ones.
- Rose: She has a large attack range and strong damage output initially, but that damage stops scaling at higher stages.
- Yuji: Attacks with powerful combos at a low attack speed cooldown, but he suffers the exact same scaling problem as Rose.
- Golden Freezo
- Ureo
- Gone
- Ries
- Makunouchi
- Stork
- Friezo
- Genoz
- Luffie
- Kiloa

D-Tier Units
Every game of this kind has its own set of filler units that are simply worthless and for Anime Crusaders, the ones below are them:
- Goko (The base version. Do not confuse him with his Perfected Super 3 S-tier variant)
- Vegtiable
- Zoro
- Sanje
- Kid Sosuke
- Kid Noruto
- Krillo
- Ichigoat
- Gahan
- Pikoko
Final Thoughts
Building a great team means more than just throwing random S-Tier characters together. Consider synergies, consider the fact that you need to build up an economy too, and the enemies you’re facing.
But you have the most important part now: you know which are the best units in the game, and which should be ignored.
