Having trouble finding the Special World teleport points in Super Mario Bros. Wonder? In this guide, I will showcase how to unlock all the levels.
The Special World levers are meant to challenge players, and what they have learned from the world they just finished.
They take all the tricks you learned and put you to the test. Each Special World level has its little quirks, but if you don’t know how to access them, then it won’t matter.
If you want to find more secrets of the game, check out our guide on all the secret exits in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, so you don’t miss any as you play along the game.
World 1: Pipe-Rock Plateau Special World Exit
The first Secret World teleport players will find is in World 1: Pipe-Rock Plateau.
It will be on the north side of a junction, just before the final castle of the World.
To unlock it though, players will need to find the secret exit in Bulrush Coming Through, a previous stage just before the midpoint of the world.
After you find the secret exit, the north junction will appear. You will have to pass through four stages to get to it. After that, you will arrive at the Special World and your first stage.
World 2: Fluff-Puff Peaks Special World Exit
The second Special World teleporter will be found in World 2: Fluff-Puff Peaks, in the middle level of the mountain.
The teleporter is hidden behind the clouds, and players will need to complete a stage first to make it appear.
To unlock this stage players will need to compete the “Jump! Jump! Jump!” stage, which has caused many headaches, as seen online.
Once you clear the rest of the stages you will find the Secret World teleporter, and a stage that has pushed me to my absolute limit.
I lost 356 lives at this stage, and I almost broke my switch. It was a trying time for me. May you do better!
World 3: Shining Falls Special World Exit
The third Special World teleporter will be found in World 3: Shining Falls, and is among the easiest to find.
Players will have to complete the complete world once, and then they will have to come back to the master’s house at the top where they got the Royal Seed.
Once you talk to him again, he will open a new path to go to the Special World.
This stage is pretty simple, and it makes great use of the Lakitu enemy and golden spiny balls.
World 4: Sunbaked Desert Special World Exit
The fourth Special World teleporter will be found in World 4: Sunbaked Desert, hidden behind a secret exit.
Players will need to find the secret exit on the stage “Secrets of Shova Mansion”, and after that, you will need to complete a few more stages to get to the Special World teleporter.
Once you enter the Special World teleporter you will find the Special Stage hidden in World 4.
World 5: Fungi Mines Special World Exit
The fifth Special World teleporter will be found in World 5: Fungi Mines, which will open once you finish the world, and return.
Once you return to the “Operation Poplin Rescue” stage, the Poplins will create a new path allowing you to enter the Special World teleporter.
This Special stage plays around with the concept of flying fish balloons, the blocks that create poles you can run, hang, and climb across.
World 6: Deep Magma Bog Special World Exit
The sixth Special World teleporter will be found in World 6: Deep Magma Bog.
You will need enough to pass the Expert Badge stages that will be before the teleporter, but once you clear them it’s up to you.
This Special Stage of the timer ball block, so make sure not to waste time, and roll as fast as you can.
World 7: Petal Isles Special World Exit
This is the seventh, and final Special World teleporter in World 7: Petal Isles.
This one is a little tricky to unlock because you won’t really know what happened when you get it.
You will need to complete all the Wiggler races in the different worlds, in order for this teleporter to appear in the Petal Isles.
The final Special World you will tackle makes use of Mario’s most iconic enemies. This is a really fun level.
That is how you unlock all the main levels of the Special World in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Special World Secret
There is one more thing to keep in mind. After you keep collecting Wonder Seeds in the Special Worlds, you will notice a stage in the middle called the Semifinal Test.
As the name suggests, once you complete this stage, you will have to do more, but I Don’t want to spoil that experience for you.
Final Thoughts
The Special Stages are an excellent way to introduce hard challenges, that are not forced while playing through the main adventure, and players will be able to enjoy them at their own pleasure.
