Now, let’s get back to today’s game and check out the plethora of useful Let’s School tips that I have shared below, in no particular order.
ALL Let’s School: Tips & Tricks You Should Know
I will start with more basic stuff first, then get more in depth with all the in-game mechanics that will probably have you scratching your head.
Make sure to go through the entire list as you will surely find at least a couple of useful things below!
Choose the land based on your play style!
Choose your land wisely based on your building preferences and play style. This is important and will have an effect over your entire game.
For example, Sakura Valley offers a flat landscape, perfect for large single builds, while Peony Springs, an island plot, is better suited for multiple smaller constructions.
And speaking of just starting – make sure to play the tutorial. It will contain helpful information and it’s a must to play it to familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics. Otherwise, it will be a tough journey ahead for you.
Pause the game whenever you need to
Make sure to take advantage of this option at all times, especially when starting a new game. Pause gameplay and plan your strategy, getting everything in place before hitting play.
Some of the things that you should consider early on:
- Invest in your community early on. Plan this as soon as you start.
- Collect stars from the junk lying around, which will help boost your school level and enhance your overall progress.
- Keep an eye on your teacher’s “training” level, as it determines their maximum stat potential gained while training.
- Keep everything running smoothly by not removing the well or outhouse in the early game, as they serve as essential sources of water and toilets.
Influence and Rival Schools
Beware of other rival schools trying to invest in your communities. Their actions may reduce your influence and result in fewer students enrolling in your school.
Instead, expand your territory by clicking the signs outside your build area. Don’t over-expand, but make sure not to be left behind either.
Finally, dispatching students is a convenient way to continue their studies and meet their needs automatically.
After researching School Reform I, utilize the dispatch map to explore different regions. Drag to reveal even more regions, which will unlock through additional school reforms.
Managing Teachers and Students
Encourage students and teachers to form friendships as it increases overall satisfaction levels and creates a positive environment in your school.
Also keep an eye on a teacher’s management level. This directly impacts the maximum capacity of researchers, students in classes, and the amount of management points in department management.
Expand your school’s talent pool by hiring elite teachers from the job market or trading with rival schools.
Students are really difficult to manage, especially those with bad traits. Combat delinquency events by staffing Security Rooms and enrolling students with “Righteous” traits to keep your school as safe as possible.
Be cautious not to exceed a class’s maximum management capacity with students having “Explosive Temper” and “Naughty” traits.
Smart Object & Facility Management
You can place objects on the same tile if an object is attached to a wall, offering optimization of space and resources.
The same goes for various facilities and rooms. For example, you can build sports facilities on top of buildings, basically offering you a ton of extra space without the need of buying extra land.
Exclusive classroom objects can provide a slight boost to teaching, enhancing your students’ learning experience.
Unlock Morning Classes through research to grant subject-specific boosts to your school.
Keep in mind that you can only build up to 8 floors, and communities have a maximum cap on the number of students they can enroll per week.
Money management tips in Let’s School
First of all, don’t be afraid of getting an in-game loan. These come in handy and, especially if you’re playing on a lower difficulty level, are not very difficult to pay back and manage.
Also, try to reduce costs as much as you can. Surprisingly, opting for lights instead of windows is a more cost-effective lighting solution.
To avoid unnecessary costs, invest gradually in communities as the cost increases with each investment.
Utilize elevators instead of stairs for multi-story buildings to ensure smooth and time-efficient movement.
While this doesn’t necessarily reduce costs (on the contrary!) it’s better for the long run, as you want a school that is always running in optimal condition.
Maintaining a Clean Environment
Employ Clean Up morning classes to keep your school clean and use trash bins, brooms, and cleaning closets for efficient trash management.
Cats are also important, as they interact with students and teachers, adding charm and fostering a pleasant atmosphere in your school.
Optimize with Room Levels
Boost efficiency by maintaining higher room levels; for example, a level 3 management department offers more management capacity, and a Level 5 classroom improves teaching efficiency.
Timing School Upgrades and Boosts
Hold off on ranking up your school immediately and save some points to rank up multiple times in succession, as this is more useful for your school and keeps the rival schools behind.
Also, after obtaining School Reform 1, dispatch your grade 2 class instead of grade 1 to conquer most map encounters in the first region.
Influence Rival Schools
Counter rival schools’ investments in communities to weaken their influence and even force them to close down. Remember to trade with them first to maximize gains.
Embrace Tiny Rooms
Take advantage of the lack of consequences for tiny rooms and use this to your advantage during cash-strapped periods.
Unlock Landmark Rewards
Visit landmarks in the dispatch map to gain rewards and extra cash for your school.
Optimizing Teacher Recruitment
Allow teachers working as homeroom teachers to gain management certificates over time, which can be beneficial when establishing new management departments.
Strategic Seasonal Store Changes
Change the items sold in the school store each season to increase the likelihood of purchases by students and teachers.
